Bumuntong-hininga si Shantal bago magdesisyong bumalik sa kwarto kung saan kasalukuyang nagpapahinga si Kairo. She just felt that it was her fault.
Umakyat siya agad sa kwarto nilang dalawa saka sandaling tumigil sa tapat ng pinto. Gusto niya munang i-kondisyon ang sarili niya para maging matatag siya habang kausap niya si Kairo.
She slowly opened the door revealing the pale boy who smiled when she entered the room. Nakaramdam siya ng kirot sa kanyang puso when he saw his condition. Nararamdaman niya ang paghihirap ni Kairo sa mga oras na ito.
"Hi" mahinang bati niya kay Kairo. He just tapped the space beside him telling her to sit right next to him.
"I'm really sorry, Kairo"
"I told you, it wasn't your fault" nakangiting sabi niya kay Shantal to make her feel that he was fine and he was doing great now but it just doesn't feel so right.
"I get too happy when I am with you. And that feels great kahit ganun" she promised herself not to cry again but then for the nth time, she failed again
"It's not your fault, Shantal. Please don't blame yourself"
"I want to spend my every time with you. We only have 3 days, Shantal"
"3 days saan?" he just smiled again.
