" when life gets hard don't wish it to be easier, decide to be stronger "

Tasha remained silent, staring at Noah with a calm expression while Noah seemed to be freaking out.
"What are these, Tasha?" he repeated, although this time more urgently.
"I think you know what they are, Noah"
He pushed himself to his feet abruptly, his breathing irregular before he began to pace back and forth.
Tasha slowly rose to her feet with a sigh, "It's okay if you don't want to, Noah. Nothing is set in stone yet, I wanted to make sure you were okay with it first," she said tiredly, and a bit upset (presumably because of Noah's reaction).
Noah froze upon hearing Tasha's words, a look of realization washing over his face. He turned and threw his body towards her, engulfing her into a hug.
"Of course I'm okay with it," he said, his voice muffled by her shoulder, "thank you."
Noah released himself from Tasha's hug, turning around with a giant smile. I don't know what's going on, but I'm glad Noah's happy.
"I don't mean to ruin the moment or anything," Mason began, "but what in the world is going on?"
Noah looked over at Tasha, as if asking for permission to tell us. She simply shrugs her shoulders, gesturing for him to tell us.
"Those papers, they're uh," he laughs, wiping a tear out of the corner of his eye, "they're adoption papers."
We all share surprised yet happy glances as he says, "My adoption papers"
"No way!" Gemma cheers, springing out of her seat and tackling Noah into a hug. We all join her in one giant group hug (again).
"Well, I guess the only thing left to say is," Gemma said, looking up at Noah with a grin, "welcome to the family, Noah Taylor."

"Well, looks like it's just us today for lunch," Mason said, approaching me at the table we all usually sit at.
"Where is everyone? I knew Noah was gone finalizing the adoption papers with Tasha, but where's Jackson and Gemma?" I question.
"Jackson is with his mother again and Gemma is re-taking a test she failed."
"Oh, okay" I shrugged, returning to my phone. When Mason didn't make a move to sit down, I looked up at him.
His face held a sheepish grin.
