" everything I want to do looks so much easier in my head than it really is "

- Unknown

First period was spent with me glancing at Nicole out of the corner of my eye. Second period, I couldn't stop glancing at the door. Third period, my eyes were glued to the clock.

Nicole and Max were the least patient people I had ever had to deal with, and yet here we are, three hours later and still no sign of them causing any problems. I wasn't ready to drop my guard yet, though. My eyes stayed glued to their table, waiting for the moment they'd leave or try and cause a scene.

My focus was broken by Gemma snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Erin?" she sang, dragging my name out.

"Hmm?" I hum, tearing my gaze away from the raven haired devil and her posse, "Sorry, what were you saying?"

She sighed as she realized who I was staring at, easily making the connection.

"You're still worried they're going to do something? It's already lunch, they've had plenty of time to cause a scene," she said softly, "I doubt they're going to try anything by now."

"I don't know Gemma, it just doesn't seem like-"

A loud bang cuts me off.

Gemma and I both look over at Noah, who had just slammed his math textbook on the table to signal his arrival.

"Crispy!" he greeted me with a large smile (per usual) as he plopped down in the seat across from me "How's the mistaken bacon holding up?"

"Uh, the what?"

Jackson chuckled at my confusion, translating the joke from Noah to English, "He's asking you how your arm is holding up."

I sighed, dropping my head in my hands in an attempt to conceal my smile. "Mistaken bacon, hilarious" I responded sarcastically, looking up at Noah who wore a pleased grin.

"Right? It even rhymes!" He exclaimed happily, either ignoring or not catching onto the sarcasm, "You know what? I should be a comedian! I would be a fantastic comedian!"

"Oh, for sure!" Mason commented sarcastically, a smirk gracing his lips, "You know what's sad, Noah?"

The blonde peers at Mason, his bright blue eyes widening slightly, "What's sad?"

"Just the fact that Erin has never heard any of your jokes before."

Noah gasped loudly, slamming his hands against the table as he stared at Mason with an infuriated expression, "This is an outrage!"
