His reasons are always the same. One slap, because I was a mistake. Two kicks, because he's stuck with me. Three punches, because in his eyes I'm a disgrace, and lastly, the final knockout hit because I'm the reason why his life was destroyed.

Water dripped from my hair, and basically every part of my body imaginable.
The one day I hadn't checked the weather, and it started pouring rain when I was barely halfway to school. And of course the huge bruise on my face from Robert's punch last night, the one that I had spent half an hour perfectly concealing this morning with makeup was now completely visible for anyone to see.
I walked into the school, trying to keep my head down and bruise out of sight from curious eyes. I pulled out my phone, opening the camera app to analyze the damage the rain had caused and grimaced as I took in my appearance. Thankfully, I was given the power of fast healing bruises, and the dark blue color would most likely fade in a couple of days.
I felt a tap on my shoulder as I was digging through my locker for my spare concealer and foundation. Without thinking, I turned around and came face to face with Jackson, Noah and their rather intimidating friend whose name I'd already forgotten.
Just my freaking luck.
"Damn girl, who smacked you with a wrecking ball? That's one hell of a shiner..."
Jackson whacked Noah upside the head, sending him a stern look as if you say "shut up, you're not being helpful."
"What happened?" Jackson asked, his eyebrows knit together. He took a step closer to me, trying to examine the injury until I shuffled backwards, quickly leaning back into my locker in search of my spare concealer.
"Did that Regina George reincarnate do this?" asked Noah,
I pulled my head out of my locker momentarily to stare at Noah questioningly, "Who's Regina George?"
He mirrors my questioning look, "From Mean Girls? Rude blonde, leader of two mindless followers, fake boobs? Just like Nicole-"
"Nicole has black hair-"
"Enough!" said Jackson with an astonished look, glancing back and forth between Noah and I, "Did Nicole do this to you or not?"
"Not..." I mumbled, "It wasn't her, or her posse, or her boyfriend."
"Well then who was it?" he asks.
"It was me, I'm just very accident prone." I shrugged, leaning back into my locker yet again. I was expecting either a joke from Noah, or a concerned or doubtful comment from Jackson, but what I wasn't expecting was an unwanted opinion from an unfamiliar voice.
