"He was taking her energy, Blaine. Oh God, why did I leave her alone with him?"

I was pacing back and forth beside Blaine's car outside the hospital. Blaine leaned back against the bonnet with his arms crossed.

"You didn't have a choice. You still had a job to go to."

"I let my stupid pride get the better of me because I didn't want to owe Jackson anything." My pacing got faster until Blaine pushed himself off of the car and stood in front of me. I crashed into him.

"Don't blame yourself for anything Jackson did. Every time he hurt people, it was his fault and his fault alone. You're both away from him now. The hospital will look after Ellie so she can come back home."

I nodded and sniffled. "Is she going to be okay? Has he permanently hurt her?"

"No. She would've regained her energy once she got away from him."

I breathed a sigh of relief, but only for a moment. This battle with Jackson still wasn't over. Tears filled my eyes as I looked up at Blaine.

"I want my sister back home."

Blaine pulled me into a tight hug and lightly rocked us from side to side. "We'll sort something out. You have my word."

"I want her back with me."

"I'm sorry, Miss Kinsman, but that's not possible."

Blaine and I stared at the owner of Sunny Valley behind his large mahogany desk in his office. Mr Mitchell sat back in his leather chair with his fingertips touching.

"Why not?" Blaine asked.

"Because the centre has already referred her."

"Doesn't she get a say in it at all?" I asked.

"She's been sectioned under the Mental Health Act because she harmed herself and two members of staff. She will be there for the foreseeable future. This is good for her, Miss Kinsman."

I shook my head at his words. "I promised her she would come home with me."

Mr Mitchell shrugged. "That's not my problem."

I wanted to reach across the desk and thump him and Blaine knew this. His hand squeezed mine tight to stop me from doing anything stupid.

"What if she gets transferred to another hospital, somewhere closer to us?" Blaine suggested.

Mr Mitchell sighed. "It won't be easy."

"But it's doable?" I asked eagerly.

The man sat forward in his seat. "Possibly, depending on enough space being available for Miss Kinsman to move. Why do you want her to be transferred?"

I glanced at Blaine. He shook his head, but I ignored him. "She's not safe near here. I think there's someone trying to hurt her and if she moves, she'll be further away from him. So you're going to make sure that all the transfer paperwork is locked away and no one except you, me and the hospital know where Ellie is. Because if anything, and I mean anything, happens to my sister, I will make sure that you're held personally responsible."

The older man raised his eyebrows at me. "Is that so?"

I went to rest my arms on his desk, but Blaine put out a hand to stop me. I looked at him confused, but he just winked at me and stood up.

"I know a group of very strong individuals that will make sure you do what you have to do quickly to move Ellie Kinsman to a closer hospital." He leaned over the desk and the man glanced at Blaine's chest as he pulled back his jacket. The colour drained from Mr Mitchell's cheeks before he was nodding frantically. I wanted to see what Blaine was showing the man, but he quickly stood straight and buttoned his jacket up again. I couldn't believe how flustered Mr Mitchell had become so suddenly.
