It's been a week since Jeongguk left Taehyung alone in the library and the two have been spending even more time together.

Jeongguk called him that night and apologized for leaving early, promising that he would try not to get so easily upset.

Taehyung, of course, accepted his apology and the two of them have been inseparable since.

    "No, like this."

    "That's what I was doing."

    "No you weren't."

Taehyung laughs as he corrects Jeongguk again on how to properly cut the celery.

"You're gonna chop your fingers off if you keep doing it like that, Gguk." He chuckles. "Just let me do it."

Jeongguk pouts as he's ushered out of the way. "Your way takes too long."

"You need to work on your patience," Taehyung says, winking at him when his frown deepens.

    "I am. I told you I was trying~"

"I know, Gguk. I know," He says. "I was only joking. You don't have to be so sensitive."

"You think I'm sensitive?" Jeongguk asks, stepping closer.

"You can be." Taehyung answers honestly, still focused closely on the vegetables he was cutting for their salads.

Jeongguk smirks as he takes another step forward, leaving very little space between them. "Really?"

"Yeah," He responds without looking up. "Stand back, Gguk. I'm trying to cut this~"

"Keep cutting, don't mind me." Jeongguk chuckles as he snakes his arms around Taehyung's waist, keeping his back pressed against his chest.

"Jeongguk," Taehyung says in a warning tone. "You're going to make me hurt myself."

"I'm just watching," Jeongguk says, resting his chin on Taehyung's shoulder. "Don't tell me to let go, I'm so sensitive I might break down and cry if you do."

"You're so dramatic." Taehyung laughs at him. "I didn't mean it as a bad thing."

"You still hurt my feelings," He says, kissing the older's exposed neck and sending chills down his spine.

Taehyung's mind goes blank for a moment, his movements with the knife faltering as he leans into Jeongguk's touch.

"You literally have goosebumps right now, but I'm the sensitive one?" Jeongguk chuckles, his lips gently brushing the shell of Taehyung's ear.

He jumps at the sound of his phone buzzing loudly against the counter, dropping the knife as he startles and nicking his finger.

"I cut myself," He says, hissing in pain as he rushes to the sink.

"Here, let me see," Jeongguk says, rushing after him.

"I'm fine~"

"Tae~"

"I'm fine, Jeongguk! Okay?" He says, raising his voice in frustration. "Can you just get the phone. Please."

Jeongguk nods, his expression very obviously hurt as he goes to grab the phone, which still buzzed loudly against the counter.

"Who's Seokjin?" He asks when he sees the name on the screen.

"My brother. Just reject it," Taehyung says, rustling through the drawer for a bandaid.

"You should call him back," Jeongguk says after the call rings out. "He'll start wondering why you're really avoiding him eventually."

"He won't. He doesn't care." He grabs the box of bandaids from out of the drawer. "My mother's probably trying to get in touch with me."
