Chapter Fourteen: Sibling Rivalry

Barbara tried calling Tabitha for at least the hundredth time but it went to voice mail again and she sighed, Jerome groaned and turned back to her "she's not going to fucking answer, for the hundredth time!" "well I don't see you doing anything to help!" "I wouldn't have to be doing any of this if you two didn't let her go alone!" "Jerome, blaming them is not helping any of us and especially not Nyssa" Jeremiah said turning a corner and pulled into a very familiar driveway and they all looked at him questioningly, they walked to the door and it opened instantly "come in" they said and they all walked inside quickly "how long has she been gone for?" they asked frantically and Jerome frowned in confusion "how did you know about-" "I texted Mr Cobblepot and asked for his help" Jeremiah answered and Oswald took a deep breath "Ed's gone to get more help from our allies" he said and hobbled over to Barbara and Lucky "are you two okay?" they nodded with guilt written all over their faces "this isn't your fault, no one could have known" he said trying to reassure them and Jerome really wanted to yell at them, but he knew he needed their help and Nyssa would kill him when they found her for yelling at her friends, they were all in Oswald's office and were discussing a strategy while ignoring Jerome's tantrums and Jeremiah even had to hold him back a few times from either attacking the girls or going to just run through the streets and go on a killing spree till he found her.

Nyssa opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling, she was strapped down, she panicked and looked to the side when she caught a glimpse of a familiar shape and her eyes widened "no.. you? you're behind this?" she said with tears in her eyes "I'm sorry we had to reconnect on such terms, but imagine my displeasure when I found out you let that freakshow touch you" "please.. please, don't hurt my baby" the person stepped forward and smiled sinisterly "oh little Nyssa, don't worry.. you won't ever remember this happened in a few days" "please.." "shhh, relax, we can't start anything just yet.. I need to get you angry first.. but unfortunately removing that thing won't get you angry, it will just make you sad.. so, I have a better alternative" she turned her head and in walked Tabitha and Nyssa felt rage boil "YOU.. YOU BITCH!" "that's right Nyssy! get angry!" they said and placed their hand on Nyssa's forehead "NO! I won't help you!" she said trying to calm down and thrash against her bounds "fine, bring him in" they said and Nyssa felt worry build, Tabitha dragged in a badly beaten and bloody Edward Nygma "ED!" "still don't want to help us?" they said and Nyssa stared at him who shook his head "don't.. don't help them.. Nyssa.. it will all be okay" he said collapsing on his knees "all it takes is one little word, and she puts a bullet in his head" "pl-please.. please don't do this" she begged and they shrugged "hm fine.. shoot him" Tabitha cocked her gun and Nyssa's eyes grew wide "NO! STOP!" they held up their hand and Tabitha stopped "I'll.. I'll help you" she said defeated and they smirked "throw him back in the torture room.. and bring Nyssa with me" they walked out and Nyssa thrashed around as Tabitha approached her with a syringe in hand.

Oswald paced around in worry, he hadn't heard from Ed in well over an hour, he and Tabitha were friends, she could've easily tricked him, suddenly his eyes lit up and ran to his computer, everyone looked at him confused "have you found something?" Jeremiah asked and Oswald smiled brightly "Ed made us get trackers, in case something like this were to happen.. if he's been taken too.. it'll show his location" Jerome looked at him hopefully and his face beamed "my friends.. we have a location" Jerome jumped to his feet and cocked his shotgun "where?".

Nyssa opened her eyes and saw she was chained to a wall "oh good, you're awake" her kidnapper said and stepped over to her "why are you doing this?" "isn't it obvious? you possess the power that I want.. but instead of using it.. you lock it away and act normal!" "I am not a weapon like I was intended to be!" "I will unlock your full potential and make you destroy everyone that tries to stop me" "wait.. you said we'd let her go!" Tabitha voiced and the person smirked "oh Tabby.. I was never going to let her go.. I need her more than I need you" "you tricked me!" "you can't trust this bitch, Tabitha!" Nyssa hissed and the person smirked "ouch.. such nasty words" they gently placed their sharp nails on Nyssa's chin "we could've been a great team.. but you just had to be normal" they said, suddenly gunshots were heard and Tabitha pulled out her whip and a gun.

There was a gunshot to the roof and there stood Jerome with blood on him and a shot gun pointing upwards "TABITHA GALAVAN!" his voice boomed and Nyssa's eyes widened, Tabitha went to run but a whip wrapped around her ankle and she fell to the ground, the owner of the whip stepped out of the shadows "Selina?" Tabitha said and Selina glared at her, Jeremiah, Barbara, Oswald, Lucky, Jervis Tetch and The Scarecrow all stood just behind Jerome with their weapons raised to Tabby "where is she?" Jerome growled, Nyssa went to call out so he'd find her but her kidnapper placed a blade to her throat "shhh" Nyssa nodded with tears streaming down her face, Tabitha was dragged to her feet "I'll never tell you! I'm protecting her!" Jerome groaned and rolled his eyes "hathead, get her to talk" Jervis stood forward and pulled out a pocket watch, Tabitha struggled but Scarecrow and Jeremiah had a strong grip on her "look into my eyes, not above them.. not around them.. right in their center.. the ticking, it syncs with your heartbeat" Tabitha's face fell blank and she stood still "where is she?" Jervis asked "follow me" she said and turned to walk, they all followed her and she led them around the corner.

Jerome's face dropped, her kidnapper had their back to them and was holding a knife to her throat "Jerome!" she screeched and Jerome aimed his gun "get the fuck away from her" he snapped, the person looked at Nyssa and smirked, they stood up and slowly turned around, Jerome and Jeremiah's faces dropped "Talia?" Jeremiah said in disbelief "surprise" she said putting her hands up in mock surprise "what the fuck? how do you know Nyssa?" Jerome asked "she's my half sister" Nyssa spat and both brothers looked at each other shocked, Talia rolled her eyes and put her hands down "so you caught me.. now what?" Jerome's eyes darkened "I'm gonna paint the wall with your fucking brains" Talia smirked "hm, interesting" she took two steps to the side and he followed her movements with his gun "you know.. I think I'm gonna have to rain check on that" she winked and threw her knife to a lever and the floor opened up making her fall down.

Jerome shot his gun but it hit the wall "fuck!" he cursed and flung the shotgun onto his shoulder, he looked over and saw Barbara and Lucky trying to pull the chained cuffs off of Nyssa "I can't get them off" Barbara said and Jerome rolled his eyes, he flung the shotgun off his shoulder and shot the chains, releasing her, she jumped up and ran into his arms, he held her as tight as he could without hurting her "it's okay.. it's okay" he soothed her and she cried, suddenly a cry for help sounded out and Nyssa's eyes shot open, she pulled out of his grip and ran, confused, everyone ran after her, she came to a metal door and started kicking it, Jerome, Jeremiah, Scarecrow and Lucky all ran and kicked the door down, Oswald felt tears pool in his eyes and he ran to the man on the floor in the room, he dropped to his knees and held Ed "Os..wald?" "I'm here Ed, I'm here" he said and Ed hugged him tightly, Jerome carried Nyssa out and Jervis helped Oswald bring Ed out, Nyssa cuddled up to Jerome in the car and he held her while rubbing small circles on her back.
