VI- Will
Rose found the Magic Realm... interesting. I showed her around that day, hoping to ease her stress. I also hoped to ease my stress.
My girlfriend just discovered she is a magician! Sure, I was excited. I knew we had something special ever since we became friends.
Rose was always interested in my card tricks, and she loved it when I blabbed about weird stuff. She didn't make fun of me. And she always welcomed me with open arms. Next thing you know, we became a couple, and that was the best thing that could ever happen to me.
What stressed me was she would be too weirded out by the extreme paranormal. Cause, if you have ever been around the Magic Realm, you know there is some weird stuff.
She took it good though. Baby steps, I told myself.
We both walked down the narrow cobblestone street lined with your typical Ye Olden Shoppes.
Rose and I held hands as she gazed around her new surroundings. Witches walked by once in a while. There was a dwarf here and there. Some fairies, warlocks, your typical Magic Realm citizens.
Now in our day in age, we magic beings don't look like your cheesy fairytale characters with their star robes, pointy hats and fairy glitter. We look just like you mortals. Well sorta.
Our clothes aren't that different from yours. In fact, your style of clothes came from our side of the realm. Your welcome.
The only thing different is we make the clothes work. And we are way more interesting than mortals. No offense.
"So, how's is it?" I asked Rose eagerly.
She shrugged and smiled at me. "It's, different. A good different. It's just a lot to take in. It feels like a dream mostly."
"Reality State," I sighed. "It's beating you up."
She nodded as we stopped at a street intersection. Horse pulled carriages, normal Magic Realm designed automobiles and people on pedal bikes zoomed in front of us like the everyday busy life of this town.
The street crosser blew his whistle and motioned for the vehicles to stop and for us to cross.
Rose and I made our to the other side of the street where we headed to a favorite near by pizzeria.
The old shop had a red, white and green canopy over the entrance of the shop. I open the door for Rose and followed her inside were the smell of hot dough and tomato sauce enveloped us in its aroma.
There was a sandy haired guy in front of us waiting to order as the chef scrambled behind the glass counter preparing his order.
As we waited Rose turned to me and cocked her eyebrow. "So your a magician? And you managed to hide it from me for a whole year?"
I looked at her and grinned. "I did a pretty good job, huh?"
Rose laughed saying, "if you call losing a rabbit in science class and making it reappear mysteriously in english a pretty good job."
"Still not sure how that happened," I mumbled.
Rose giggled and we heard the man in front of us talk to the chef.
"You here about this scandalous wanted tormenting the Regiment Of Merlin! It's mutiny!"
"Tell me about it! He about crash landed right through my shop window! That no good demon!" The chef replied while handing him a steaming box of pizza.
My mouth watered as the man stepped aside so we could order while still talking to the chef.
"I hope the soldiers catch him. We all know he's no good for our society."
