I started feeling soft pokes at my shoulder. Slowly my eyes would start to open, but it took a few minutes before my eyes got used to the light. When that finally happened I saw a giant hand covering my entire view. As an instinct, I started screaming while backing backward until I hit his fingers.
"Hey calm down, don't you remember me." He said with a worried voice. I started remembering what happened. I met Peter, he freed me and he was taking me to his house. My heart started to calm down. I began taking deep breaths and steadily I was learning my body against him again. "That's better, sorry I should have been more careful," he said while stroking my head with his thumb. I looked around to see that the sun was already gone. The only light came from a giant fireplace in front of me. Beside it was a chicken cooking over the flame. It was normal sized though.
"Did you eat already?" I asked him while getting up.
He looks at me weird until he gets it. "Oh, no I'll eat when we get home. "
"But you said it was first tomorrow."
"Yep,"
"You can't just go an entire day without eating!"
He picks me up by my collar and raises me to his face. "Look, you don't have to worry about me. I'm used to not eating in your realm. Besides what would even be enough here to satisfy me."
His eyes subtlety change from his usual sky blue to a deeper and deeper grey. His entire face turns stone cold as he silently looks at me. His other hand slowly moves towards me. He places his thumb on my forehead and carefully lifts my bangs, revealing my symbol.
"A moon under the waning crescent phase or what the common folk would say, it's a sideways smile," he said with him laughing at his own remark at the end.
"It's not funny!" I scream while I quickly scramble my hands in order to cover up the symbol. His face gets sterner.
"What does it mean?" he said in a cold voice.
"I'm not telling you that!"
"Emma... what... does... it... mean"
He looks dead in my eyes. It made me really uncomfortable and started sending a cold chill throughout my entire body. It began to shake with my eyes following through with tears.
"IT'S MEANS THAT I'M A SLAVE OKAY! It means that I will never be truly free! From the day this mark was burned to my face, my destiny was sealed! It means that I will live the rest up my life fearing for my life, fight just to survive... and hope that one day I'll wake up and see that it's gone..."
I cover my face with my hands and curl up my body. I sobbed into them, forgetting that Peter was even there. I got reminded though when his hand that was holding me got lowered and he placed me on his other hand. Once I was in there he softly pressed me against his chest. It felt weird at first, but once the initial confusion drifted off I started to like. His warmth coupled with his relaxed heartbeat really helped to calm my nerves. After a while, he cautiously starts to rub my back with his finger.

We stayed like that for quite some time, or it at least felt that way. I look up to his face to see that his eyes had returned to blue again. Though this time it was more of a midnight blue rather than his usually lighter color.
"Peter?" I eventually said. "Thank you, it's been something I've been holding it in for a long time. It feels a lot better to finally get it out."
"I'm glad you feel that way kiddo." he said with a gentle tone. He looked around until his eyes stumbled upon something. "Now are you gonna eat that chicken before it gets cold."
"What?" I said confused. I looked to my side to see the chicken had been cooling besides the rocks. "I totally forgot about that, and of course I'm gonna eat it, I'm starving."
"Well have fun,"
He placed me down beside some rocks next to him, handed me the chicken and started to lay down. As I began to eat, I noticed that he suddenly fell asleep at some point. I looked at his calm gentle resting face and after a while couldn't help but smile at him.
"Thank you," I said in a whisper before I continued with the chicken.
