"I can't take it anymore!" I growled. "I'm gonna see him first! Haelan are you gonna come with me?"
"You already know the answer to that. If you think it's a good idea, then let's go." He held his hand out, letting me climb on it.
The sun was bright outside. Few of the leafs were bright ginger, slowly swaying with the wind down to the ground. I felt cold and my body began trembling. My hand reached out and pulled his thumb so it was next to my side. I looked up to see his reaction but he looked straight ahead, only rubbing my leg as a response."We are here," I looked around, seeing Peter's door in front of me. "We have been standing here for a few minutes. You haven't said anything... Are you sure you're ready for this?"
I sighed, thinking it all through one more time before saying "I'm ready."He knocked on the door.
"He better answer it..." he mumbled to the silence. He knocked again. "Of course he wouldn't," he said. The door was locked and wouldn't budge by simple shakes. He switched his eyes between the wooden door and my stare. "You seem determined, so let's do it." His hand moved to a window sill, letting me get down. I moved both hands to cover my ears, fearing that he was gonna do it.
With no hesitation he kicked the door down, crashing it to the floor. The sound created an overpowering echo who shakes almost made me stumble off."That was very impolite." Peter said, his voice cutting through the dread. "What do you want, Haelan?"
"You and her have some unfinished business." he replied, while he reached out for me. Standing steady on his hand, he pulled me in front so I was now at height with him. He seemed tired - his body leaning on the doorframe, but looking right at me with stone eyes. His eyes were examining me, then looked at Haelan and right back at me.
"So Emma, what are you exactly after? Though I gotta say, if it's about staying, then forget about it."
"Peter listen, I can prove it to you-"
"You already have!" he said, interrupting me. "I can't of course forget about when you almost died in the forest or when you tried getting out of my grab and almost choking to death!"
"Rematch then," I yelled. "I'll prove it to you once in for all - You versus me. If you can get a death attempt on me, then I'll agree and go with you."
"...And if I don't you stay I get it."
"Yes," I sighed. He really has a tendency to interrupt me. "The game is simple. I win if I make it to Haelans house without you "killing me", understood?" I finished holding out my hand.
"Agreed," he said while pulling out his pointer finger shaking my hand. "When do we start?"
"Just give me a moment, Haelan can you put me down?" He lowered me letting me jump down onto the tree high grass. "Haelan countdown from 5,"I breathed in, getting ready to sprint at countdown. "And no cheating okay?"
"I won't need it." he smirked.
"5...4...3....2...1..."
