Chapter eighteen: yes or no

Josh's POV

I smiled as I carried ivy into the bedroom. I looked over at the bed, where Jen was still asleep. It's like ten in th morning and Jena and Sam are coming over to babysit ivy but Jen doesn't know why. She was up really late last night. I kissed her head and she groand. "Jen get up." "No!" She whined. I rolled my eyes and she rolled over to face away from me. 

"Jen it's late." She shook her head. "Five more minutes." I laughed and she pulled tg blanket over her head. I looked at ivy with a smirck and layed over next to Jen. Jen came out and rolled her eyes. "You jerk." I laughed and she picked up ivy. 

"Mommy can't sleep if your in the bed." She said in a cute voice looking at the baby. "Well I might as well get up now." I noded and she rolled her eyes. She got out of bed and smiled at ivy. "Did you feed her?" I shook my head. She nodded and grabbed a jacket. We walked downstairs and she made a bottle, sat on the couch and started feeding ivy.

"To tired." She mumbled and I laughed. She looked at me with a smile. "how'd I get so lucky for you to be with me?" I smiled too, "cause, I'm always here for you." She rolled her eyes and I chuckled. There was a knock at the door and I opened it. There stood Sam and Jena. 

I let them in and they looked at the couch to see Jen looking at ivy. "Peek a boo!" I rolled my eyes. "Jen just give up, it's not going to make her smile." She looked at me. "Then why was she smiling when I did it yesterday?" I shrugged and she laughed. 

"Oh let her have her fun Josh." Sam told me and I rolled my eyes. "Yeah Josh!" Jena commented and I crossed my arms. "Stop ganging up on me!" Jen shook her head with a smile. "Josh would you just tell ne where were going?" Jen asked and I shook my head. 

"Well either way it's good practice for you two." Jena and Sam rolled their eyes as Jen got off the couch and handed sam the baby. Jen started for the kitchen and I stared at her. "Um done you need to change?" She nodded, "I'm getting coffee. Next time don't let me stay up all night reading Harry Potter if I had to get up so early!" I noded and we laughed. 

Nobody's POV

Jen Got dressed and came back downstairs. "Ok I'm ready, uh Jena, Sam. The bottles and stuff are in the kitchen, dipaper are upstairs in our room and hers. There's toys basically everywhere. Pippi and celo like to try to lay on her so watch out, and I'd you take her outside done let paparazzi take pictures of her and if they do try to block them cause the flash's scare her." They smiled and noded. 

"Jen come on." She looked at Josh. "Are you sure?" He noded and she sighed. "What if something happens?" He chuckled. "They'll call us. Stop worrying, theyll be fine, come on let's go have some fun and let them have some practice." She rolled her eyes and noded. He qickly took her outside before she changed her mind agian. 

Th drive to th beach was filled with laughter. Jennifer had no idea where they were going but she had an idea. That's why she put a bikini on under her clothes but Josh didn't know. They got there and Jen smiled. "Your so predictable Josh." She said with a laughed and Josh smircked. "You say that." "Cause you are." 

They got out of his car and walked to the beach. Jen emidetly took off her clothes, leaving her in her bathing suit. "Like what you see?" She asked looking at Josh who was staring at her. He noded and she rolled her eyes. "You know it's like what 10:28 in the morning and we're at the beach?" He noded and stood there. 

They were the only people there since it was still pretty early and a Sunday. They played in the ocean and walked up and down the beach for a while. "We should probably head back soon, im not sure how long Jena and Sam can handle her right now. Aspecally with Jena's hormones going crazy." Jen said softly breaking the silence. 

"Yeah, but first." They stoped walking on the beach and she looked at him. He grabbed her hand and got down on one knee. "Jennifer I've loved you for as long as I can remember, and I can't promise to fix all your problems but I can promise you that you will never have to face them alone anymore. Weather is nick, or ivy or anything else I will always be there for you two. But I'd like it even better if I help you threw it all not as a friend or boyfriend but your husband. Will you marry me?" 

Jen noded tearfully and he put the ring on her finger. He stood up and she kissed him as she starts crying. He laughed as she kept crying. "Yes, Josh, I'd love to marry you!" He smiled and she laughed. "I love you!" He smiled, "i love you too!" She sighed and looked at her ring. "That's a damn good ring." She told him as they walked back to his car. 

He noded and they drove home talking about the wedding. They walked inside the house and their friends looked up. "Have fun?" Sam asked and they noded, Jen smricked too. "Where's Jena and ivy?" She asked, "upstairs, she was Getting her up from a nap." They noded and walked upstairs.

They walked into their bedroom to see Jena smiling at ivy. "Oh You back!" They noded and Jena let Jen get ivy out. "Hi baby! Did you have fun?" Ivy smiled and Jen smiled too. "Ha! I told you she's been smiling!" He rolled his eyes. "What did you say?" Jen rolled her eyes. "What do you think?" She asked as she shows Jena her hand. 

"Oh my God! I wanna be the maid of honor!" They laughed, "I'll think about it." She nodded and went downstairs with Josh. Jennifer stayed upstairs to change Ivy's dipaper. After she finsihed she sighed and looked at her. "I know you won't remember this but I have to tell you ivy."

She sighed and looked at her baby girl again. "I don't know if you'll ever meet your real daddy, but I promise Josh will always love you like his own and he will always be your daddy no matter what happens in the future. And I will never leave you like daddy did." A tear rolled down her face. 

"And I'm sorry if you never get to meet most of your family, but please rember mommy will love you forever." She picked her up and sighed. "I will love you forever and always sweetie." Tears kept rolling down her face, some happy and some sad. "Your the story of me and Nick." She mumbled. "A story that might not be over." She felt her heart shatter as she relized she wasn't over nick, infact she was still madley in love with him as she was Josh and she didn't know what to do.
