Chapter twenty-two: Reconnecting

Nobody's POV

"Nick please! Stop!" Jen cried in her sleep as Karen and Blane came past her room from getting a drink. They stoped confused and open the door. They saw her wake up screaming. Josh woke up concerned. Jen was sobbing and he tirdley hugged her. "Sh, Jen your ok." 

She shook her head. "No! It was horrible!" She sobbed and Josh sighed. "I couldn't get away, he was everywhere, he kept hitting me, you said you wish I was dead, cludia slapped me. Laim tried to screw with me agian."

Josh hugged her as she kept crying. "It was tarifying!" "Your ok, it was just a dream." "More like a nightmare from hell." She mumbled and pushed the hair out of her face. "Want me to go get you a drink?" She nodded "and make sure my screaming didn't wake anyone up." He noded and got out of bed. 

Karen and Blane hid as he walked out of the room. They walked in after he left and Jen was getting out of bed. She was still shaking like crazy and looked tarrifed. She tried and saw them. "Did I wake you up?" They shook their heads. "Sweetheart what Happened?" She sighed as she sat back down on the bed. "When me and Nick were together he abused me. It was usually verbally but a few times physically."

They gasped and sat down with her. "I know, I should have just gotten out of here but I couldn't. Well I chose not to. I kept telling myself he wouldn't do it agian. But he kept doing it and eventually started accusing me of cheating on him with Josh. And by the end when he left me when I got pregnant I was pretty shaken up." 

They hugged her as tears flooded her eyes and Josh came back. He sat down too and hugged her. "Jen it's ok." She shook her head. "No Josh, it's not." She mumbled, "Jen it wasn't your fault you didn't know what to do." She sighed, "what time is it?" Blane grabbed her phone. "Like 6:30 am." She nodded.

"I'm just goona go take a shower." They noded and she left the room. "How often does that happen?" Blane asked. "About every other night." Karen gapsed. "My poor baby." He noded and left the room to make breakfast. After a bit Ben, bear and ivy woke up. Jen sighed as she put on her clothes and started doing her hair in her bedroom and her dad headed to her room to talk to her. 

He starts to open the door but heard her talking to herself. "I'm such an idot!" She told herself. "I should have just gotten out of that damn relationship but I had to let nick keep tricking me!" Gary was confused as she rembered Bry was pregnant. "Oh yeah and great, Ivy's getting a sibling she'll never meet cause Nick had to drag bryana to England." 

Gary's mouth dropped. Jen threw her hairbrush down and sighed. "Why is my life so fucked up anymore?" She started crying and Gary ran in. He hugged his daughter and she kept crying. "hey, sweetheart it's ok." She looked at him. She didn't reply, she just stood up and noded. She qickly whipped her eyes and they walked downstairs. 

They saw Karen gushing over ivy which caused Jen to smile. "Aunt jen!" Bear sequeled and everyone looked at her to make sure she was ok. She smiled and picked up bear. "Hi! Did you meet ivy?" He noded. "Shes boring she can't do anything." Jen rolled her eyes. "She can eat, sleep, say mommy and basically be a baby." 

He nodded and she set him down. "You ok?" She noded softly at Josh. "We heard you two are getting married." Karen said and they noded. "Yeah we have everything planned Jen just needs a dress." They smiled and started eating breakfast. "Oh Jen guess whose eight months old today." 

Her eyes widened and she looked at Josh. "No." He noded. "No." She said with a laugh. "She's not." He noded. "It's the first?" He noded. "No!" He laughed. "Yes, who's the one who drove you to the hospital and you were telling to fuck off when I asked if you were ok eight months ago today?"

"You." Everyone laughed and Jen grabbed her phone. "Holy shit! She is! Shes growing up so fast." Josh laughed, "tell mommy your a big girl." She smiled, "mommy!" Jen smiled, "that's right. Can you say nana?" She shook her head. "Aunt Jen can we go to the park?" Jen smiled and noded. "Who wants to come with us?" Jen asked as she got up. 

"Well come." Her parents and Josh said. "What about you guys?" Her brothers shrugged. "Well Stay here so you can spend some time with bear. He's missed you." Jen noded and they all got ready and went to the park. 

Karens POV

I looked over at the playground and saw Jen running around with bear. "Come catch me!" He called and Jen smiled. "Ha! I got you!" She exclamed and he smiled. "I love you." She smiled and he hugged her. "I love you too bear." He ran to the slide and she smiled. "Hey Josh!" She called and he came over with ivy. "You wanna take her down the slide for the first time?" "Sure."

I sighed, I can't believe I let Gary manipulate me into ignoring her. She really needed me, but I'll never leave her agian. Josh went down the slide with her and Jen smiled. "That looked like fun my silly girl!" He chuckled. "I don't think she was very sure." She nodded. 

"aunt Jen!" They looked over, "when you guys get married will I call him uncle Josh?" She nodded and his mouth dropped causing us to laugh. "you want to head home?" He noded and Josh took his hand. "Uh hey mom?" I looked at my daughter. "I'm sorry for yelling last night." I hugged her. 

"It's fine, you had every right to, and everything you said was true." She nodded, "honestly I'm a little stressed out." She admitted and we started to walk back to her car. "Why?" She sighed, "filming, ivy, getting ready for the wedding, trying to forget about nick. But I mean i he wanted me to forget he shouldn't have left the way he did." I looked at her confused. 

"What did he do?" "He came to the house to tell us bryana was pregnant with Ivy's half sibling then we had a talk in my room and he said he was going to England to 'give us our best chance', Then He kissed me as goodbye and left." I was shocked. "Seriously?" She nodded, "so ive been pretty stressed out." I noded. 

"I woudlr blame you." She smiled and we got in the car. "Hey Kat!" She glared at Josh. "Stop, calling, me, that!" I laughed and we started back to her house. "whyd dad leave early?" Jen asked. "I don't know. I think he's still upset over the whole nick and ivy thing." I mumbled and they noded. 

"What I thought." She mumbled too. We got back to her house and she went to go feed ivy. I walked into the kitchen and saw ivy smack the spoon and the food got on Jen's face. "Seriously?" Ivy laughed and Jen rolled her eyes. "Why do you eat for daddy and not mommy?" I laughed and knew looked up. 

"Here." I took the food and ivy ate it. Jen groand and I laughed. "You'll figure it out." She nodded and got a drink. "nobody ever told me being a mom was so exhausting." I laughed, "you'll get used to it." She nodded and hugged me. "I love you Mom." "I love you too."
