"Draco! Draco!!" I scream, my voice raspy from screaming for him all night. My body is rigid with ice and cold from being out so long but I can't stop. There's still 200 acres left to cover.

"Draco, please," I whimper, getting more and more discouraged as I continue.

He isn't just gone. Draco wouldn't leave. He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye, he wouldn't just... go. There must be something wrong. This feels too spontanious. Right?

How can anyone be sure of anything anymore? Am I going crazy?

I see the sun coming up and the sky illuminate as light hits the trees. It's morning.

" 'Mione, we've been looking all night. He's gone-"

"He's not gone! He probably just went out for a walk," I retort as Harry protests.

I kneel down and put one hand to the grassy floor. "Let me focus," I whisper, trying to keep my cool as the various possiblities coarse through my mind.

"Hermione, when did you-"

"Harry I really need to focus-"

"No! When did you get so bloody stupid? He's gone! Accept it, he left and he didn't take you with him! He's nothing but a coward and you knew that. Leave it alone. We're going back, right now. Ron will just be waking," Harry shrieks. The horcrux around his neck explains a lot.

"Take that off, Harry," I answer as calmly as possible.

"This isn't about the fucking necklace, Hermione! It's about the fact that ever since the beginning of this term, you've been acting like nothing in this world matters more to you than Malfoy. Malfoy for god's sake!"

I wipe some tears away and try to take a few breaths before losing it. "I know."

"You-you know?" Harry looks dumbfounded.

"Yes, I do. Now take the bloody necklace off," I demand, walking over to him and ripping it off myself when he makes no movements. "Let's just go back, okay?"

---
"Where the bloody hell have you both been? No one told me they were leaving, I woke up all alone in the middle of the forest!" Ron screams, exiting the tent as we return.

"That makes two of us," I mumble under my breath, throwing the horcrux back at Harry. It hits his chest before falling to the snowy floor. "I don't really care what you do with that right now."

"Where's Draco?"

"Gone."
