EPISODE 3 (1028 WORDS)

My mum was almost falling asleep on the couch again so I sent her to bed and locked up. I went through my draws and out on an oversized T-shirt and tiny shorts since it was a warm night. I lay in bed, thinking about life when I heard it. The alphas howl echoed through my ears. The hairs on the back of my neck seemed to stand to attention and my muscle began to flex and move uncontrollably. I'm shifting, I can't shift, not here! I jumped out of the window and didn't even bother aiming for the tree. My werewolf form was trying to take over so I ran in the opposite direction of the howling.

I ran on all 4's trying to escape as fast as I could, my vision seemed to only show red. I crashed into something and stopped. Growling through gritted teeth before my eyes adjusted and showed Derek crouched in front of me. I stood up straight, controlling my powers. He looked at me confused.

"You're not going to the howl?" He asked so I shuck my head, he seemed more confused. "Are you wearing pants?" He asked making me laugh as I looked down at my body realising that the shirt was hiding my shorts. I lifted my shirt slightly to show my shorts. He nodded. "How are you not shifting?" He asked and I looked at him confused.

"I was shifting but I knew that the howling couldn't be a good sign so I ran away. Wait so you're not the alpha? You didn't bite me?" I asked but he shook his head.

"You thought it was me?" He questioned but I smiled.

"It was a fair assumption to make. I don't know any other werewolves." I chuckled and he surprisingly chuckled too.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" He asked and I looked at him confused. Did Derek hale just ask to walk with me? "I can stop you from shifting if it howls again," he explained so I nodded.

"Yeah, a walk would be cool," I shrugged trying my best not to react massively. In my fairness, Derek is a tall, attractive and mysterious man, what's not to like? He chose a random direction and started walking as I walked beside him, he was walking surprisingly slow. Like a late evening stroll.

"So, you just moved here?" He asked shocked me slightly. I don't know why but I expected this to be a silent walk.

"Yeah, I live in the woods as well," I explained so he looked at me a little surprised.

"You're not scared of the woods?" He asked making me chuckle.

"Right now, I feel like I'm the most dangerous thing in the woods," I chuckled but he stopped to look at me with a raised eyebrow.

"You're not scared of me?" He asked making me laugh.

"Oh, please. I wasn't scared of you the first day we met," I replied smugly but he smirked.

"Either you've been around a lot of dangerous people you're whole life or you're stupid," he chuckled but I scoffed.

"You're not scary," I shrugged but he chuckled with a smirk. Before I could even blink he turned into his werewolf form and pretty much roared in my face. I didn't flinch at all I just laughed. He became human again and looked at me surprised. He turned to keep walking. "So what bring you back to beacon hills?" I asked as we continued our walk.

"My sister went missing, she was the girl torn in half," he explained in a soft voice. I nodded slightly. We ended up talking as we walked all night, when the sun started rising we decided to race back to my house as werewolves. I made it there a fraction of a second before him, I pretended it was from skill but I knew it was because he didn't know where the house was.

"You're pretty fast all things considered," he chuckled but I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"What because I'm a girl," I asked making him chuckle.

"No, because you've only been bitten for a few days," he explained making me smile.

"Well thank you for tonight," I added and he smiled.

"We should do it again sometime," he shrugged but I was surprised. Does Derek Hale want to hang out with me?

"Yeah, sounds great," I smiled so he smiled back. He chuckled slightly.

"I bet you can't jump through the window from here," he challenged making me smile. I raised an eyebrow before bending my knees and jumping as high as I could. I made it through the window and smugly smiled as I looked back outside only to find that Derek was gone. I chuckled to myself before walking back to my bathroom. I giggled slightly at the thought of how I spent the night walking through the woods with Derek.

I took a quick shower before getting ready. I decided to wear something nice since I wouldn't have time to change before dinner with stiles and his dad. I wore a red skater dress with black leggings, my leather jacket and black ankle boots. My lipstick matched my dress and hair with black winged eyeliner and contour. I decided to leave my hair down as it was curly from wearing it in a bun all night. I grabbed my bag and headed to the door before remembering stiles' jacket. I carried it on my arm as I jogged down the stairs. My mum was still in her pyjamas and sleep in her eyes. She smiled at me widely.

"You're looking beautiful this morning," she commented making me smile

"You're looking beautiful this morning," she commented making me smile. I grabbed my apple and kissed her on the cheek. She chuckled. "Why are you so happy this morning? What did I miss?" She asked making my smile beam.

"It's going to be a good day," I shrugged so she chuckled.

"Bye, honey. I love you !" She called after me.

"Love you," I shouted back as I closed the door. I practically skipped to my car and climbed in.
