In the small village of Bacharach in Germania in the year 113 bc, not long after the defeat of the Roman army at the hands of Cimbri and Teutoni; we find ourselves in a tiny single-story dark greyish stone building with a worn and tatty thatched roof with a newly ordained priest by the name of Father Drakon, who led the little-known religion of Catholicism, with its small and underwhelming following at this time in history. Father Drakon was a tall, some would say handsome, but unassuming man of 30 years of age.  He had been converted from the paganist religion which most of Germania followed; but now, as a priest his faith was in the one true God and he spent his life in service to god preaching his word and trying to gain forgiveness for his previous sins, but along with his fellow parishioners, had to keep their faith very much secret; Catholic followers were dealt with viciously and publicly by the pagan army.

Father Drakon had just finished Mass  and was alone in his small chapel, the smoky haze given of by the fire pit in the centre of the the room, when a voice from the dark said, "might I speak with you father?", a black-haired man of no more than 5ft who looked to be middle aged, but considering the times looked to be well fed and dressed in a strange black outfit, appeared from the shadows at the back of the hall. "Of course, how may I help......?" Father Drakon stopped midway through his sentence as the man came into the light "my name is Lucifer, Lucifer Abaddon" the man began "you are a paganist, come to kill me, aren't you?" asked the priest with a surprising calmness, that left Lucifer feeling as though his choice had been wrong, this man being full of the righteous purity of his new found faith. "I knew my eyes would give me away" Lucifer chuckled pointing to his jet-black pupils surrounded by a blood red sclera "oh yes and my clothes" he added. "no father you needn't fear me I just wish to talk" he continued serenely, Father Drakon was indeed full of pious confidence, almost indignant at the man's obvious brazen lies. "you will not be able to turn me away from the lord, I am a man of the lord God almighty now, he is all powerful, and omnipotent, false gods are not real, but feel free to try" Father Drakon stated with an air of confidence, that once again gave Lucifer cause. "well father You certainly come across as a man who is very much governed by his newfound beliefs, what might it bring to you if you were able spread the word of your God to all men?" Lucifer asked, "pray tell me how such a thing would be possible?" Father Drakon asked suddenly curious as to how he might achieve such as to preach Gods word to everyone. "oh, much can be achieved, when one applies ones self , and one has the right people at one's side" Lucifer answered feeling a little more confident in achieving his objective, "I could be one of those people, if that is, you wish it" he added.

the priest thought for a moment hubris beginning to consume him, he was after all very proud of his newly acquired faith and in his Lord God, Avarice taking hold as his greed and desire to bring all mankind under the protection of Gods Love, and confident that he, father Drakon could be the one to bring down the paganist religions and all false gods. Lucifer seeing an opportunity whilst the priest was wrapped up in his own thoughts and not paying attention to him, produced a challis of solid gold, studded with Rubies and diamonds, biting his own wrist and allowing his blood to flow unchecked into the cup. with a sly smile, he looked at the priest, who was trying without much success to tidy, his mind being preoccupied with thoughts of how magnificent it would be to minister to all. "I am not a pagan father, but I do believe that a faith, whatever that faith may be, needs to be shared" Lucifer began, "let me ask you father, if your God is as powerful as you say, then where is he now?" he finished "now once again I say that I mean you no harm" added Lucifer putting down the cup and raising his hands in a gesture of surrender. The priest was momentarily stumped and looked furtively around the room, "he speaks the truth, where are you my lord God, I beseech you my lord, do not forsake one of your children" he thought to himself, as he studied the face of Lucifer, whose friendliness was all to evident, despite the redness of his eyes. "it is sad I know but it would appear, father that your god has abandoned you,  now if as you suggest I am a pagan, and the worshiper of false gods, then surely your god should be here to offer you protection, from a paganist non-believer, such as you are convinced that I am." Lucifer waved his hand flamboyantly around the room.
