Meanwhile George had transformed back to human and put on the trousers he had grabbed earlier, and he now set about disguising their sent with a rather uncooperative smelly Stoat and hiding their tracks. George returned at about 10am and woke Ruby with a kiss on her forehead she moaned, turned and gently opened her red eyes. "All done my sweet" said George sounding all proud of himself. "EWE" said Ruby wrinkling Her nose "WHAT IS THAT GOD-AWFUL SMELL?" Ruby screamed reeling back from George like he were covered in fleas. "oh, ah that" said George apologetically, stepping back from Ruby "that would be Stoat, I used it to mask our sent" George replied. "Well I'd say that if it can make the dead recoil then there is no chance a Werewolf can track us" Ruby chuckled. "there's a water trough outside please go and have a wash" Ruby demanded pointing at the door out of the tomb. He laughed and saluted "as you wish my lady" George replied as he made his way to the door. A short while later he returned dripping wet looking a bit dishevelled and a little sorry for himself. "now I don't as a rule feel the cold, but that was blooming freezing" George proclaimed, standing there dripping and grabbing his sides. "Then I suggest we get you out of those wet things" Ruby said advancing toward him.

Eventually there he stood in his birthday suit looking very sheepish, it was after all the first time Ruby had seen him naked. Whenever George had transformed before, Jasmine had always been there to give him a change of clothes. Jasmine had made no secret of the fact that she only ever had eyes for her mistress, despite knowing her love was unrequited. Also, In fact it was the first time Ruby had ever seen a naked man.

However, she didn't feel uncomfortable as she felt death was far more shocking, Ruby studied George with an approving eye, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him, in turn George put his hands up to her cheeks taking hold of her head and looked deep into her ruby red eyes "I love you Ruby my sweet little flower" he said in a low husky whisper. "and I love you" Ruby replied they kissed long and deep then they broke away looked again into each other's eyes and kissed again only longer and more passionately.

Both George and Ruby lay on the sarcophagus entwined in each other whilst they recovered from their passionate exerts, "well George" Ruby panted "for a virgin, I think I coped quite well, don't you" she lied. a virgin?" George said looking somewhat surprised "well I thought as a Vampire you might have been with someone already" he finished. she was a little offended and hurt by his remark, it felt just a little too near the knuckle. "well no actually! I am a Vampire not a hussy, I was a new Vampire when we found each other again and even before we first met each other I would not have given myself to anyone willingly" Ruby stated indignantly. "please forgive me my sweet I meant no offence" George interjected, sensing that Ruby was becoming a little annoyed with George's attitude regarding the topic of conversation. "I too was a virgin" he lied a little sheepishly, he knew that he had, been with a lady of the night when he was younger, a girl from Guildford town paid for by his father who didn't want him to marry without having some knowledge of women and there had been an 'accident' and the result now lived back in Guildford.

"what you?" Ruby said astonished "yes, you have been the only woman for me, and since we met I've only ever thought of you, and when you died I thought my life was over" George said quietly. They lay there for some time, in each other's arms in silence.

As Jasmine settled for the day, she heard a lot of whisperings outside of her room. As It turned out she was right to be concerned about the landlord of the inn, he was no Werewolf, but he knew a Witch when he saw one, and he also knew that were there was a Witch there was sure to be a Vampire. At about 6pm the moon was out, and because it was day three of the cycle, George would only transform if he went outside and was bathed in moon light. So, he lay in Ruby's arms and they both rested something neither of them had done for a long time.

The door was flung inward with a crash and Jasmine sat bolt upright in bed and gestured a spell toward the door and at the person who stood in it and.........nothing. like a silently thrown ricocheting stone, the spell bounced off the landlord, a fat unkempt bearded man wearing a food stained collarless shirt under a filthy brown grey tunic apron that smelt strongly of stale beer, tobacco & his filthy sweat, even across the room Jasmine had to suppress her desire to gag. He stood menacingly in the door way brandishing a loaded wooden crossbow. "Your spells won't work on me Witch" he sneered revealing his yellow tobacco and beer stained teeth, sporting fragments of food stuff, "I am protected" he said slyly showing her an amulet he wore around his scabby looking neck.

"NOW WHERE IS it WITCH?" The man demanded with a venomous tone. Confused as to why her spell had not affected the landlord and as to what the 'it' was, she cowered on the bed and timidly said "I am sorry" trying without much luck to hide her fear, "I do not know to what you refer" she said with genuine fear. The angry looking landlord advanced and said aggressively "the Vampire you serve Witch, where is the bloody blood sucker"

"I serve no master sir, I serve myself!" she lied defiantly and as she spoke, waved her hand discreetly towards the slightly opened window and issued a panic spell, once in the open air the spell expanded to issue a piercing scream, albeit only to Werewolves and Vampires. Both George and Ruby opened their eyes and sat up with a start and then got the shock of their lives.
