In the night the world, holds a different grasp on life those who sleep, those who hide & those who...... Hunt. In the darkness fear grows & it is exacerbated, because one doesn't know what hides in the shadows...& shadows can bite.

As the lady Alcina came from the light of the world of man, darkness enveloped her a blackness darker than that of night (what has happened here I know middle wood is dark & inhospitable, but this is extreme) she thought as she slowly walked across middle wood, the last time she was here, there was at least light & for that matter sound all be it inside her head. During a Witches time here in middle wood Abaddon's voice could be heard repeatedly ("you belong to me! Yield and agree to serve me through your masters the Vampire, and you can leave this place, and again shall you know magic, and again shall you know company, if you do not agree then this land will become your eternal prison") but now.... Nothing. She could see the slightly illuminated figures of the chosen, seemingly oblivious to her being there. All of them searching for some light, stumbling about, arms out stretched like the blind without anyone to guide them.

She made her way to the purple light that only she could see, as she knew that would take her to her home dimension. She past through the Shard of Purple light, expecting to at least still see stars, as both the dimensions were like different sides of the same coin day light in the world of man, meant that it would be night time in hers, but she also remembered that her aunt Nighmearee had told her once that time somehow moved at very different speeds in both dimensions. As she past through the mirror into her village, she stopped dead, like she had walked into a brick wall. The dark, was much like that of the darkness she had just come from in middle wood. Not just the absence of light, but a darkness beyond darkness, no house lights no moon light, no stars. so dark that it meant, sight was a pointless sense. The lady Alcina waved her hand casually casting a spell, giving her the sight of night, allowing her to see firsthand the devastation that had been hidden by the blanket of darkness.

The last time she had been here, the lady Alcina had seen a bustling busy village, full of life & noise, its stone built thatched cottages all with hanging wicker baskets filled with aromatic herbs & spices filling the air with a spicy sweet-smelling aroma. Now the nearby houses had clearly suffered damage caused by explosions of magic, many bodies lay strewn about, some with their throats ripped out, even beyond the lifeless recovery of vampirism oozing what little blood was left. Other bodies, some mere children had suffered at the hands of a very, very powerful user of magic. The buildings that still remained standing were riddled with magical residue & holes, the lady Alcina was unable to conceal her shock as she looked around at her dead brothers & sisters (this cant be right) she thought, the death & destruction made her feel sick, not that death was new to her, it was the fact that children & the old had been the victims, these people, those who had survived would now look to her, as she was the Matriarchal head of all covens, as much as she tried to hold in her emotions she began to silently weep. She scanned the devastation, in hope of finding life & fortunately she did. She saw a small girl, who couldn't have been more than 5 years old crawling away trying desperately trying to make herself as small as possible, in an effort to become invisible, fear & obvious panic painted all over her face. Realising that she had been spotted, she wiped the tears from her dirty face & tried to compose herself. "do not fear me child, I mean you no harm" the lady Alcina said as softly & warmly as she could reaching out a hand towards the frightened looking girl, the girl had shoulder length strawberry red matted hair, she wore a dirty white cotton dress looking disheveled & grubby she reached up & gingerly took the lady's hand smiling weakly clearly displaying some misgivings. "What's your name child?" the lady asked softly "Izabella miss" the girl offered in a very shaken voice "well I am the lady Alcina, can you tell me what's happened here, it looks like a war zone & it looks like its been going on for years?" The lady Alcina asked.
