Theo and Daryl land beside one another.
They were looking up at the ceiling, out of breath, sweaty and smiling, a blanket covering their naked bodies.
"Was that okay?" Daryl asked her, still looking at the ceiling, afraid that she didn't enjoy it.
"Yeah, it was perfect," she smiled.
"Are you sure?" he asked, looking at her
"Daryl... it was perfect", she repeated, kissing him again.
He rolled closer to her, deepening the kiss as he pulled her body closer to his. Their naked bodies connected as they kissed closely. Daryl held her lower back while Theo had his face.
Theo rolled over Daryl, straddling him, her hair covering their faces.
Daryl sat up, allowing them both to sit up.
He continued to hold her lower back, keeping her close, the warmth of his body keeping Theo's naked body warm from the cold air.
Daryl grabbed her cheek, pulled her away, and looked her in the eyes.
"I can get used to this." He smirked at her, making her smile again.
"Me too," Theo smiled, kissing him before sliding off and back next to him.
"Get some sleep," he told her
"Okay," She yawned.
Daryl kissed her on the cheek before turning over, pulling the sheet up to his shoulder as he closed his eyes.
Theo then noticed something: she had never been so close to Daryl without his shirt.
Daryl's back was covered in scars.
She looked at them sadly before looking away.
She wouldn't ask; she would only ask if he said anything; that's what respect and privacy meant.
She took a breath before smiling again, turning the other way.
However, as the night went on, Theo couldn't sleep; she was kept awake by all the thoughts in her head.
She got up and put on her pants and Daryl's long black shirt, knowing they were comfier than her everyday clothes.
She grabbed his jacket quietly, knowing cigarettes and his lighter were inside the pocket.
She tiptoed outside to the lookout point, trying not to wake Daryl, a light sleeper and surprised he wasn't awake yet.
She sat on the floor, her legs hanging off the edge as she lit a cigarette, breathing in the cold air surrounding her.
She took a drag before she heard footsteps behind her.
She didn't turn; she just waited for him to join her.
A few seconds later, he was next to her, his trousers handing off his waste without a shirt due to her wearing his.
He grabbed the cigarette and lighter as he looked at her.
"What's on your mind?" he asked, worried about her blank expression.
He bit his nails nervously, which she had picked up on a lot.
"What we just did was everything I had wanted; it was perfect..." she began taking a drag and holding her knee close to her body. "Daryl, it meant a lot to me; I'm glad it was you I got to experience it with" She turned to look at him, her eyes slightly watery.
He looked at her sadly before his eyes fell into his lap.
"Before the world ended, I didn't think something like this was capable. My brother always had a woman round every other night, and my father was no better. I never got to feel like I was cared about," Daryl explained.
