The next day, the prison was quiet; everyone was off doing their own thing, keeping watch, and preparing.

"Theo?" Carl came over to her

"Sup?" she asked, walking outside with a toolbox after noticing one of the cars had a problem with the engine. She hoped to do something with it that would help distract her for a few hours.

"Here," He said, handing her a drawing book and pencils. "I remember how much you used to draw, maybe it will keep you busy when we have nothing to do" Carl smiled sweetly at her.

"Where do you find this?" She smiled taking it thankfully.

"In a cell, I was nosing around" Carl laughed

"Thank you," She smiled, lighting a cigarette.

"Can I ask you something?" He began as Theo popped the boot of the pickup.

She nodded, not yet looking at him.

"Would you have wanted a boy or girl?" Carl smiled, looking up at her innocently.

Theo took her cigarette out, blowing the smoke to the side. She looked at the floor to think.

"A boy," she told him. "I would want him to grow up like his uncle, not his mother." She smiled and looked at her brother.

"What would you have called him?" He wondered, hoping his sister would open up to him.

Theo placed her cigarette back in her mouth before shrugging.

"Probably would have been something like ass-kicker as well" Carl smiled

"If Daryl had anything to do with it yeah" Theo laughed before continuing on the car.

"Do you miss being with him?" Carl shyly asked, not wanting to hit a nerve.

She stopped and looked over to where he stood; he was looking out with Merle, now being given a gun and Michonne.

"Yeah, but what's the point in caring about someone when they don't care about you? '' She tried not to show how upset she was.

"Do you ever think he might have not meant what he said?" Carl shuffled, kicking a stone on the ground

"What do you mean?" Theo threw her cigarette down and closed the hood, done with the car.

"I overheard Carol and Daryl talking last night" He began, playing with a loose thread on his jumper.

"Oh yeah?" Theo sat down on the hood of the car, watching Carl carefully, noticing the change in tone.

"He said he didn't mean anything he said about you," He told his sister, finally looking up at her.

"Why'd he say it then?" Theo wondered making Carl shrug, even if Carl knew why he had said it, there was no way of explaining or making excuses.

"Maybe he had to, to make you let him go?" Carl pondered.

Theo looked back at the brothers, and Daryl looked in her direction.

"Still does not change the fact he said them '' Theo bit inside her cheek as she didn't break eye contact with the man.

"No, but it changes things" Carl smiled hopeful.

"You like him then?" Theo asked, finally looking back at her brother.

"Out of everything you have been through, he was the best thing for you, he still is" Carl admitted

"Boy, how old are you?" Theo laughed at his mature behaviour.
