"How long?" Daryl asked as the two of them sat quietly with one another, the others speaking together in the distance, allowing them some time alone.

"The nurse said about a month." She finally broke.

"I'm sorry" he hugged her side as she laid into him

"You think they will let him back with us?" Theo asked, whipping her eyes and looking at Merle and then her father.

"I hate him more than anything right now, but Merle is my brother; they must. I don't care if he is another part of the prison, away from us, but knowing he is alive and safe, it has been worth something; he is all the blood I have left," Daryl said, standing and walking over to the others to find out what was going to happen with his brother.

Theo watched as the other begin to get angry, yelling between one another,  when she noticed Glenn pointing at her.

"You need to talk to Daryl", Glenn said, walking over as everyone stood behind.

"Why?" Theo wondered, holding onto her stomach.

She couldn't take the pain; she needed something to help.

"He wants to leave with Merle," Rick told his currently fragile daughter

"What?" she asked, shocked, looking over at the brothers.

"We ain't letting Merle home; it's not safe", Rick continued looking to the ground before looking back up at Theo as he tried to explain where he was coming from

"So we lose two soldiers, one of them being Daryl?" Theo argued. "I don't like Merle more than you! But he can help us fight. And Daryl gets his brother back!"

"You seriously want Merle at home?" Maggie asked, standing beside Glenn

"No, but sorry to be selfish, but if that means Daryl comes home, then I don't think we have a choice!" She yelled

"Theo..." Glenn began, his black eye finally showing. "It's not a good idea."

Theo sighed in frustration before storming over to Daryl.

"That's it?" Theo asked, wincing at the pain, trying to push it off to the side.

"Don't" Daryl began, not looking at her.

"You're just going to leave us, leave me?" Theo's eyes become watery.

"No him, no me", Daryl continued as he walked over to the boot of the car

Theo looked back at her dad

"Let me come with you then!" Theo yelled, unable to think about this world without him.

"Not a chance," Daryl shook his head. I don't want you out there; if I am leaving you, I want you to be at least safe in Prison."

"You promised" Theo began to cry

"I'm sorry," Daryl said, walking to his brother

"Daryl, please" she begged

"Girl, you think we had anything that was going to last! I think it was proved that maybe we ain't meant to be together." Daryl suddenly snapped.

He knew the only way she would let him go was to make her hate him, and as much as it hurt, he had to.

"What?" It felt as though someone had just ripped her heart out.

"You heard! Leave me alone; go cry to your daddy about your problems, about your dead baby!" He screamed, catching the attention of the others.

"Brother!" Merle yelled at him with anger.
