The next Thursday came along which meant one thing.

Date night.

I was especially excited about this night because we were having a double date with one of Lucy's BAU friends and her husband.

Different to other date nights, Lucy came, picked me up and drove the two of us to the restaurant we usually ate at.

"how can you be so gorgeous?" I sighed, taking a look at her as I jumped into the car.

"thank you, beautiful" she smiled, starting the car.

We drove to the restaurant to see a couple waiting outside, I obviously hadn't met the two before I assumed it was them.

And once Lucy got out of the car and gave the two a hug, I was certain it was them.

I took a look at the couple in front of me.

The girl was beautiful... Undeniably beautiful.

Like holy WOW SHE'S BEAUTIFUL.

She has long, blonde hair that reached her elbows and wore a tight fitted black dress that I very much intended on asking her where it came from, because it was WOW.

and her husband, no offence, looked like a generic dark haired white dude but was also undeniably attractive.

They both seemed just really lovely, just from the smiles on their faces.

"hey! you must be Y/N. I'm Jennifer but you can call me JJ" the blonde grinned and pulled me in for a quick hug.

"it's so nice to meet you, JJ. I love your dress!" I smiled back.

"thanks! Oh, this is my husband Will" she introduced the man next to her.

"very nice to meet you, Will" I shook his hand.

"very nice to meet you" he nodded, shaking mine in return.

After we got aquainted, we entered the restaurant and sat down in our usual booth.

"so you work in the FBI with Lucy, right? That must be insane" I chuckled.

"yeah, in the BAU. it's... difficult y'know with all of the cases but saving peoples lives, reuniting families. A lot of the time, it's worth it" she nodded.

"you know, it's almost been my dream to be a BAU profiler" I admitted.

"why didn't you enter the academy?" Will wondered.

"I am NOT smart enough" I smiled, shaking my head.

"yeah, this lovely lady over here is an intern at Vogue" Lucy nodded.

"what?! That's so cool, what's it like there?" JJ wondered.

"it's a lot of running errand at the moment but occasionally I get to write small articles which is pretty cool" I smiled.

We ordered some wine and our food as the conversations continued.

"so Lucy's told me that you're a huge fan of music, what type of stuff do you like?" JJ asked me over our dinner.

"oh just like, old stuff" I shrugged.

"like what?" JJ cackled.

"like the 50s, 60s, 70s. The beatles, Queen, Simon and garfunkel, the monkees, the hollies, csny. Just stuff like that" I replied.

"oh that's super cool! You don't get a lot of people nowadays that like music like that. You like some of that stuff, don't you Will?" She turned to her husband.

"yeah, I don't get to listen to music a lot because of my job but I love queen and the beatles" Will smiled.

"wait, what do you do?" I wondered.

"oh I'm a police detective" he replied.

"woah so big jobs in your household. You must be out a lot, have you got kids?" I asked gently.

"yeah, we've got two lovely boys" JJ's voice practically lit up.

"oh that's wonderful" I grinned before turning to Lucy. "How's your food?"

"it's amazing" she chuckled. "I'm glad the three of you are getting along"

"I'm glad too, so tell me about you two. How did you meet? You never told me" JJ wondered.

"oh we met in middle school so we've been best friends for like ever and then in college, we.. we fell in love and one day I just told her, I had to get it out so I told her that I'm in love with her and thankfully, she felt the same way" Lucy explained.

"and then we got together on the spot and we've been together ever since then, almost 2 years now" I grinned.

"that's so sweet" JJ pouted.

"that's some movie love story right there, I'm glad you both found each other" Will nodded our way.

"me too because this girl.. wow. There are no words" I turned to my girl, intertwining my fingers with hers.

"you guys are just so cute" JJ smiled, taking a sip of her wine.

"yeah I really wish I had the guts to tell her earlier so we could spend even longer together but yeah, Lucy is just... she's.. I love he-" I paused mid sentence as I heard classical music.

"babe, you okay?" Lucy caught my attention.

Lucy.

Lucy is right next to me.

But I'm hearing...

Ohhhh I'm an idiot.

We're in a fancy ass restaurant.

They're obviously gonna be playing classical music.

God, I need to chill out.

"what? Uh yeah, I'm okay. I just.. I thought I saw someone I knew over there but it wasn't don't worry" I shook my head, sitting back in my chair.

"oh I LOVE this song!" Lucy exclaimed.

I turned to her, my eyebrows furrowed.

"really? this song?" I wondered.

"yeah, you know how much I love Sinatra" she chuckled.

What?

"sinatra is playing?" I froze.

"yeah, can't you hear it baby?" she asked, the playful smile still on her face.

"oh.. yeah, of course. It's just loud in here I couldn't hear it until now, Sinatra of course" I nodded.

All I could hear was that classical music.

No matter how hard I tried, it flooded out whatever Sinatra song was playing in that moment.

"I'm gonna go for a smoke, anyone joining me?" Will asked, standing up from the table.

"I'll join you" Lucy nodded, standing up herself.

"how about you?" Will caught my attention.

"hmm? oh uh I don't smoke" I mumbled.

He nodded and the two headed outside.
