I arrived at my house, not surprised that Will and the kids were asleep.

I was glad they were asleep.

I was also not surprised when I got a phone call from Spencer, not five minutes after I got into my house.

"hey" I sighed.

"hey, you okay?" he asked. "what's on your mind?"

"I've been hearing songs too" I admitted. "like you have"

"and you think it's not Will" he stated.

"I.. How did you know?" I wondered.

"I know you, JJ" he stated. "how do you know its not him?"

"it's not music he'd listen to, not music he'd ever listen to. I've avoided it for weeks and weeks but I can't avoid it anymore. I know he's not my Soulmate" I admitted.

"that doesn't mean you can't spend the rest of your life with him" Spencer chuckled.

"I know. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. But if he's not my Soulmate, I can't help of think about the fact that there's someone better for me" I mumbled.

"who said your soulmate would be better for you? You found Will. Will gave you a family, he is your family. Just because he might not be your soulmate, doesn't mean you should leave him. You want to spend the rest of your life with him, you do it. You'll just have to learn to get used to the music" he explained. "does he hear your songs?"

"yeah he does" I smiled to myself. "we found that out quite early in our relationship"

"see! That's even more of a reason for you to spend the rest of your lives together" I could hear him smile.

"I didn't know you were such a romantic, Reid" I laughed gently.

"I just want you to be happy. And Will makes you happy. Even if he's not your soulmate, you're meant to be with him" Spencer spoke, it almost made me cry.

"Will does make me happy. And I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with him" I told myself more than I was telling him.

"there you go. You're perfect together, don't forget that" Spencer stated. "now, are you okay?"

"yeah. I'm okay. Thank you, Spence. This has really cleared my head. Will is my one and only and I'll focus on that, no matter who my soulmate is" I nodded.

"do you have any idea who it is?" he wondered.

"no, I don't. And I hope it stays that way" I admitted. "how are you feeling? Knowing that you have a soulmate you can hear at all times?"

"it's really weird. And I'm still surprised I didn't know this already but I don't know, I don't really know what to think about it. I never thought about soulmate, I never thought I'd have one. But there are 8 billion people on the earth, I could never find this person" he explained.

"you deserve happiness, Spence. I think you'll find them. I really hope you do and if you need any help finding them, I'm here" I chuckled.

"Thanks, JJ. now it's late, I'm gonna let you sleep now" he mumbled.

"thank you again, Spence. I owe you" I smiled to myself.

"goodnight, JJ. I'll see you tomorrow" he mumbled before hanging up the phone.

I removed my coat and made my way to my bedroom, seeing Will fast asleep in our bed.

A smile grew on my face as I made my way across the room and turned off the lamp next to the bed.

I lifted the covers and slid onto the bed, smiling to myself as I fell asleep.

Y/N's POV

Another week went by and date night came around once again.

I grinned to myself as I took one last look in the mirror.

I wore a pair of black, pretty smart but fashionable trousers with a white shirt that led underneath a groovy, vintage knitted sweater.

I curled my hair and paired the outfit with some black heels to give it a little more formality.

And considering it was October, it felt really seasonally appropriate which I enjoyed.

I was about to leave to meet Lucy at our usual restaurant when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

Lucy: the team are going out for drinks tonight and they've invited me along so will have to postpone tonights date sorry xx

Oh.

I felt the smile drop from my face.

Uh.

Okay.

I slid my phone back into my pocket and collapsed onto my couch.

There goes date night.

JJ's POV

"so where's the missus tonight? We'd love to meet her" Derek grinned as Lucy took a sip on her drink.

"oh she couldn't make it tonight, maybe another night thought. I know she'd like to meet you all" Lucy nodded. "she always wanted to be a BAU agent, you know but she never got the brains. I'm sure she'd love to hear all about your ventures"

"we'd be more than happy to share our stories with her, she's sounds lovely" Emily smiled.

I noticed that Spencer was quite quiet throughout the night and just sat sipping on his beer.

"she works in Vogue, right?" I butted into the conversation.

"yep" she sighed, nodding gently.

"is it terrible not being able to live together because of the work distance?" Garcia wondered.

" we have our dates and see each other often so it's not too bad" she shrugged, taking another sip of her drink. "what about you, pretty boy? You've been quiet tonight?"

"hmm?" Reid lifted his head to the group.

"what's up, Spence?" I frowned at the boy.

"I'm just thinking" he smiled tightly.

"you're always thinking" Derek chuckled, ruffling his hair causing it to fall in front of his face.

Spencer laughed lightly, tucking his hair back behind his ear.

There wasn't even a couple of seconds before his face fell.

"oh" he mumbled, it was quiet since I was the only one who had heard and the rest of the group went back to conversation.

"what's up, Spence?" I wondered.
