He lifted his head, his eyes meeting mine.

"she's sad" he uttered.

"what? Who's sad?" I wondered.

"I don't know what's she's listening to but.. its sad" he stated once more.

He looks worried.

I know I said I'd push it away but I couldn't help but think about Lucy's girlfriend.

Could it be her?

Lucy had to cancel on date night so It would make sense if she was upset.

"who's sad?" Derek asked, the rest of the group turning to us.

"my uh soulmate, she's listening to music and she's sad" he shrugged, repeating this statement for the third time.

"oh I'm sorry, pretty boy" Garcia placed her hand on his arm.

"Its cute that it worries you, even though you have no clue who they are" Emily smiled gently.

"you haven't found her yet?" Lucy wondered.

"I didn't even know this whole soulmate thing was.. a thing until yesterday" Spencer admitted.

"you're lucky you've found yours" I smiled in Lucys direction.

"hmm?" she turned to me, eyebrows furrowed.

"you've found your soulmate already" I repeated.

"oh right. yeah of course" she nodded, turning away almost instantly.

They're so cute.

"she keeps replaying the same song" Spencer sighed.

"sing it to us, we might know it" Derek requested.

"I'll recite it to you" Spencer cocked his eyebrow. "she keeps replaying this one part specifically and it's like... 'all the knives that lacirate your brain, I've had my share ill help you with the pain. You're not alone"

We all stared for a moment.

"ohh that's Rock N Roll Suicide by David Bowie, yeah my girlfriend loves that song" Lucy grinned causing Emily and I to catch each others eyes for a moment.

"oh I think I know that one, yeah it's good. I hope she'll be okay though" Emily stated almost instantly.

"me too" Spencer nodded, turning back to his drinks.

"you guys up for dancing?" I stood up, desperately wanting to move everyone's minds from the previous conversation.

We all rushed to the dance floor, except Reid, of course.

We danced the night away and returned to our table, bodies bursting with sweat and energy.

" hey Lucy?" I called the blondes attention from across the table.

"what's up?" she turned to me, panting herself.

"we're gonna go out drinking again on Saturday, you should invite Y/N" I suggested.

"oh, uh yeah that sounds great. I'll do that" she nodded as I felt a tug on my arm.

"what are you doing?" Emily whispered into my ear.

"well we want to meet her and.. she wants to meet us" I stated simply.

"you think she's Spencers soulmate, don't you?" she whispered once more, I could see a smirk on her face in the corner of my eye.

"I didn't say that at all" I took a step back to properly look at the brunette.

"sure you didn't" she crinkled her nose at me before sitting back down in her seat.

Y/N's POV

I didn't hear from Lucy much in the next few days.

until Saturday morning when I woke up to a text from Lucy.

and to my surprise, one from JJ.

my love: hey I'm going out drinking with the BAU again tonight, wanna tag along?? xx

I swear, my heart almost burst into a million pieces.

A huge grin broke out on my face as I placed my phone down and began excitedly jumping around the room, squealing to myself.

I get to meet the BAU!

I get to meet the BAU!

I get to meet the BAU!

After taking a moment to collect myself, I grabbed my phone from the counter.

me: oh wow, yeah. That sounds great, I'll be there! just let me know what time and where, love you xx

my love: the gibson at 8?? xx

me: perfect. see you then! love you xx

my love: see you later, beautiful xx

I sighed gently before placing my phone down.

I sluggishly went along my day, waiting and waiting for time to go by until 6:30pm rolled by and I finally decided to give in a get dressed.

I shrouded my body in one of the baby-doll Lydia Deetz type dresses, black with ever so puffy short sleeves that were also lace, that I had been allowed to take home after a successful show I had to supervise at Vogue.

I hadn't worn it since that day but today felt like the proper occasion.

I curled my (y/h/c) hair ever so slightly so that it was effortless but still flattering.

I did my makeup how I usually did it on a night out, pretty natural but with a bold eyeliner and a dark lip, I decided on a plum colour for this night.

I slid on my favourites; my black, leather Mary Jane's that had a bit of a heel to them.

I'm short, okay?

I like to feel tall.

I took one last look at myself in the mirror before swinging my bag over my shoulder and sliding my phone into one of the pockets.

I'd bring a jacket but I knew that the moment I'd enter that bar, I'd be boiling for the rest of the night.

Especially since I'm probably gonna be dancing.

I hope I'll be dancing.

I know I'm so excited to meet and spend time with the BAU but.. like they're in the BAU.. what if they're all super serious and boring?

what if I have the worst time tonight?

what if they're all like old and professional?

I shrugged the thought off, knowing that Lucy wouldn't bring me to meet them unless she knew I'd absolutely love them.

I exited my apartment, making sure to lock the door behind me before making my way out of my building and going on my way, for the bar was only a 10 minute walk away.

I walked and walked, the freezing cold fall air hitting my skin with each step as the bar soon enough came into view.

let's do this.
