❝In which the girl who feels too much gets close to the boy who wants to feel nothing.❞
━━If one would ask Regulus Black to give his opinion on Alera Abbot, he would unhesitatingly tell you that she was a walking hazard to society.

Morning:
----------------------> THERE WAS SOMETHING HEAVENLY ABOUT THE TWILIGHT SCENE, the surreal feeling it gave; as if it were a beautifully painted picture with shades of gold, auburn, ebony and crystal blended together in a lovely ombre effect. There was something enchanting about the atmosphere it created, the tranquillity it brought as nocturnal animals hurried back to sleep and day creatures showed the slightest signs of waking up.
It was during this time of quietude on what seemed to be the start of a magnificent morning that Alera Abbott could be seen tiptoeing out of the Hufflepuff common room, her chestnut coloured hair held up in a messy bun with the assistance of her trusty holly wand that -if Mr Ollivander was to be believed- contained a single hair from the mane of a pregnant unicorn.
Donning a flowy blue dress which juxtaposed the faded yellow jumper she wore on it, Alera attempted to silently walk out of her empty common room, one of her hands clutching her favourite high heels -something she adored wearing specifically due to the clicking noise it made against the tiles, announcing her presence to those who heard it- and the other clasping a basket.
The portrait of Helga Hufflepuff shot her an amused look when Alera asked her if she could please open the doors before complying and whispering a soft, "Have fun", a comment Alera replied to with a smile.
There were plenty of advantages to being sorted to the different houses of Hogwarts, each common room having its own distinct footprint for the students to brag about to the others.
The Gryffindor Common Room --according to Remus Lupin who she had regularly given chocolates to from the past five years, having always sensed a melancholic feeling intertwined in his charming countenance-- was the tallest tower in the castle. The title had originally belonged to the Ravenclaw Tower but one of the Gryffindors -the legend spoke that it was the late Lord Henry Potter- had perched a stick on the tip of their tower and applied a permanent sticking charm on it; thus, giving it the extra height it needed to claim that it was the tallest tower.
Aurora had often gushed over how the ceiling of the Ravenclaw Common Room was enchanted to reflect the night sky and over how it provided the students with an excellent view of the grounds, sights including that of the Black Lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains. The students would also be able to admire the actual windows, as beautiful blue and bronze silks were hung upon them. Additionally, the Ravenclaws were fortunate enough to have a private library, which according to popular belief held almost as many books as the main library at the school, even though it was much smaller. Furthermore, the students received custom coffee mugs upon their sorting and had access to the advice of Lady Rowena Ravenclaw herself.
