~Angels never die~
Black Veil Brides(edited)
The car ride was comfortably silent. Soft music was playing in the background as trees were passing by. The sky was turning grey. Heavy rain was ready to pour. Great...
I let my head rest on the car window and sighed quietly. I could sense Aiden glancing at me from time to time. He was trying to find a good excuse to start a conversation. Something I wanted to do too... However, I didn't know how... I had so many questions! Where they had been all those years? Why did they never reach out to me? Did they know about me at all?
"So, how was your flight?" Aiden finally broke my thoughts, trying to make me feel more comfortable with him.
"Great, I was mostly asleep" I giggled. My head fell on the sir's lap who was sitting next to me. When I opened my eyes, I saw him looking down at me weirdly. Stella next to me on the other side was cackling amused, while my face was redder than a tomato.
"Aw, you sleepyhead" Aiden chuckled, almost mockingly.
He pressed the accelerator, making my body fall back on my seat. Fortunately, the road was empty and we weren't in danger. Our windows were open and the air was furiously entering the car as we were running on the road. My curly hair was flying behind. My ears were shivering from the cold air. I was feeling like I was free. Free from all the sadness. Free from all my problems. Free from the miserable life I've lived for 14 years now.
I have always loved speed. That feeling of flying far away from your problems with your feet still touching the ground was the most liberating feeling in the world. Every time I was having nightmares back home. Nightmares of people chasing me... And those nightmares were my favorite... Sadistic, I know but... I loved watching them. I would wake up refreshed the following day...
My brother slowed down when we saw some more cars joining the road "We were waiting for so long to see you again, sorrelina" he admitted out of the blue. Anyone could see he was hurt. Gripping a bt on the steering wheel, he kept staring on the road with a straight face, completely different than the person I met some hours ago.
'What does he mean by that?' I asked myself, fully confused by his words. Had they seen me before? When? Why dont I remember that? More questions were added to my head the more was thinking about it.
I decided to just simply smile and let it slide. I didn't want to shoot him with so many questions from the first day. Fortunately, we continued our car ride in silence. His admit makes me rethink everything and do crazy scenarios once again.
I always make crazy scenarios with my mind. That's one of the reasons I'm writing stories. I have a great imagination, which is usually making me think of the worst situations. Ovethinking, as people call it.
My first scenario was that my parents left my brothers in an orphanage as soon as I was born and then we all moved to Greece. That they couldn't afford all those children and they put them in the orphanage. 'Why would they do it when they could afford six boys and didn't just give me away if they couldn't afford seven children?' I rethought. Story One Declined.
My second guess was that my brothers escaped the country for some reason when I was born. Either because they didn't want me or because those heartless monsters were torturing them too. 'But yet again, how could they do that? I mean they should be too young to leave alone for another continent, right?' Story Two Declined too.
My third one was that these people who claimed to be my long lost brothers were lying and they wanted to do something else with me. Maybe sell my organs or treat me like a slave. 'Why tho? If they wanted my organs, they would have killed me already, and if they wanted to treat me like a slave, they wouldn't have treated me like that...' Story Three Declined.
