~Take a shot of liquid courage~
Shinedown

An irritating sound pierced my precious sleep, startling me. My shutters were still rolled down, yet sun rays were still finding their way into my room. Flinching from the sudden awakening, I glanced around confused.

"What the..." I mumbled, checking my phone. 7.02... "Ugh nooo..." I whined, turning the alarm on my phone off. Today was the first day of school.

Groaning, I fell back on the bed, snuggling into my covers. I was drifting back to sleep when I felt someone in the room. As I was about to shoot up from my bed, a warm hand rubbed my back, making me more sleepy. I didn't dare to move. I just laid there, enjoying the nice, comforting touch, not wanting it to stop.

"Great, now she is asleep again. Good job!" I heard Dylan groaning sarcastically. I fought so much the grin that was about to appear on my sleepy face.

"Shut up moron" I recognized Chris's voice trying to whisper as much as he could not to wake me up abruptly "Buongiorno bambina" Chris bend down and whispered into my hair sweetly, as he was kissing my head. (Good morning baby girl)

I hummed in response, refusing to leave my bed "I am not asleep moron" I used Chris's words to mock Dylan, who just rolled his eyes and walked out of my room.

"Hey, language!" my second oldest brother scolded and gently kissed my forehead lovingly "Come on honey, get ready for school" he gently gave me a small nudge, making me giggle slightly as I was getting up.

The moment I was left alone, I started digging into my closet to find the cutest outfit for my first day in school. My brothers bought me so many clothes, yet I couldn't find something appropriate for this situation. Or at least, my anxiety was hiding the option... Either way, I was so grateful I didn't have to wear some filthy, impersonal uniform. Grabbing my baggy blue jeans and a colorful striped hoodie, I bolted downstairs.

"Ugh has anyone seen my shoes?!" I groaned as I was entering the kitchen, with my bag on my shoulder.

"Well, good morning to you too, Nefeli" Noah mumbled, in a judging-like tone. He didn't even care to raise his eyes from his phone. 'Asshole...' I thought to myself, still slightly pissed by the Enzo incident, taking a seat next to Cole.

"Sorry, good morning!" I cheered as calmly as I could, trying to hide my stress from all my brothers. However, someone saw right through me...

"Ready for your first day in school, angelo?" Aiden asked me and took a sip of his coffee. Looking at me with a knowing look, he tilted a bit his head, going unnoticed by the rest of the Agostinos. Great... My cover was blown... (Angel)

Remaining silent for a few seconds, I was processing the question. No, I wasn't ready... If they had grown up with Antonio and Joanne, they wouldn't have asked me... Being degraded, insulted, and isolated my whole life was an obvious factor in my being uneasy about my first day of school.

Glancing around the room, I noticed Noah's piercing gaze on me. He had raised his eyes from his work and was examining me like a vulture was eying his prey. Waiting to see a reaction, a gulp, a sign... And obviously expecting an apology... Jokes on him, he wasn't getting any!

"Yeah I am fine" I finally murmured, as I was taking a sip from my orange juice, trying to be as discreet as possible. Clearly disappointing Noah... Who responded by looking back down on his work...

I tilted my head confused, just enough not to get noticed by my brothers. 'Seriously?' I thought puzzled, as I was getting a bite of my admittedly fragrant pancakes. Which were enough to distract me from my thoughts. I was really digging into that thing...
