Emily continued down the pathway through the forest. Ever since her battle with the zombies the previous night she did not want any more troubles getting in her way. But she knew in her heart something else would try to stop her. Whatever this time hopefully it would be something she would be ready for.

As she walked she felt her stomach growling even more than it was the other day and her throat was dry too. I have to eat something but I don't know what, she told herself as she tried to walk further and further without giving in too much to her thirst and hunger. As the day processed Emily began to walk slower and slower as her empty stomach and dry mouth began to interfere even more. She did not want to be killed by something natural that was going to stop her from finding Mr. Lordi. I won't let him down, she thought as she tried to regain her strength back and kept walking a little faster.

The sky was now a more darker gray as if the morning had ended and afternoon had started. Emily could hear more rustles in the bushes but her mind on hunger was far too high to think about her surroundings to run and hide from any devilish monster waiting to pounce on her. The wind had settled down to a more gentle breeze now with a few whistles now and then. Emily thought it was almost peaceful and a little too peaceful for a world as haunted as this world was.

But once again her hunger was beginning to take over her mind and she was unable to control it as if she was consumed by just one thing that she needed and nothing else. If only Mr. Lordi could help me along my way to find him, she thought as she stopped at a small pond and took a sip of the water. The water tasted like iron, like blood in her mouth. Emily felt like she was going to be sick, and hoped that this was not poison she just drank, and then she stood up again and kept walking to regain some strength from her empty stomach.

Later, Emily felt her hopes starting to wane. Hunger was going to hold her back even more than she thought even though water had sort of reduced it, she felt as if she was burning inside ready to burst out only because her stomach was empty. She kept walking slowly until she saw a small house in the middle of a circle of trees to her right and thought it was a shining beacon of hope to restore her power to move forward to help this world and her own. But what if there are unfriendly monsters in there? She asked herself as she walked towards the house and peered inside.

The lights were on and she could make out at least twenty devilish monsters seated at a table eating. None of them were Mr. Lordi or any of his comrades she had encountered before. Then another monster came carrying a plate of what looked like meat. Emily looked almost too scared to go inside, she was hungry but she was afraid that dining with monsters would make them want to eat her instead of the food they were already eating. Unless they know why I am here, she thought as she looked into the window a little more to try and see what the creatures were eating but her hope dropped even more when the monster serving food spotted her, growled, and ran for the nearby door.

Emily dashed towards the nearby trees. There was no way she was going to stay there and wait for them to come and either eat her or befriend her. The monster came outside and saw her hiding behind the tree.

"Mmmm dinner!" it growled,

Emily tried to run but was cornered by the creature. "No don't eat me I'm just passing through!" she said, and then the monster growled again.

"Like a puny little human trespasses in our world to pass through? The Lord will not stand for this!"

Emily immediately knew he was talking about Mr. Lordi. "That's why I'm here, I'm here to bond with the Lord!" She said with fear in her eyes.

The monster grabbed her arm. "I do not believe you! Come inside and we'll see what you taste like!"

Emily struggled but was overpowered by the creature as he entered the house with her. Inside over a dozen devilish monsters were seated at a table with empty plates and candlelit walls.
