Chapter 11 - Beast Loose in Paradise

The army of demons was visible now and Emily could make out what they looked like. Most of them were tall, red with horns and wore nothing but torn clothes; they had fangs and were carrying weapons like tridents and swords. They were like the gargoyles Emily had seen as statues back in the monster world and they also reminded her of Orcs from Lord of the Rings only redder and scarier. This is going to be one tough fight indeed, she thought.

Mr. Lordi drew out a double bladed axe, rose it in the air and the other monsters became battle ready. OX stood in a charging position, Awa began to glow bright white like a ghost, Kita crunched his fangs together, and Amen had worn linen bandages expanding from his sides. Emily watched as the light on the necklace she wore glowed brighter it magically expanded a shield that surrounded her. She felt safe already and turned to Mr. Lordi one last time.

"Please don't die," She pleaded.

Mr. Lordi looked at her with love and kissed her hand that he was holding. "I promise I will not," He told her gently and then he let go of her hand and held onto his axe with both hands. Then he and his monster allies turned to face the enemy and they charged into battle.

Mr. Lordi and his allies charged forward towards the demons charging towards them. Emily watched from afar inside her protective shield hoping and praying that they would all come back alive. The two groups collided and the fight began. Mr. Lordi brought his axe down on several demons chopping them in half and reduced several more to ashes like he once did to the witch hunters. He roared in anger with all his might as if fighting for his life was something that enraged him more than anything.

OX charged forward growing long horns on his head and bashed tons of demons like bowling pins. Amen and Awa joined forces and crumbled the demons surrounding them into dust. Kita attacked with his fangs and bit the heads off several demons leaving blood spurting in all directions. Emily continued to watch and realize it did not take long for them to be outnumbered. If only there was something I could do, they need help, she thought as she knelt to the ground as if praying and saying in her mind: "Help my one true love and my allies; they need more allies fighting them to take down these armies." She hoped someone would answer her prayers.

The ground shook as the battle intensified and loud roars were heard from below. Emily looked down to see thousands of monsters emerging from the cracks in the ground that were created from the earthquake. Some were large and some were smaller and they resembled the gargoyles Emily had seen before. They surrounded Emily and bowed to her. She smiled.

"Your lord and his allies need help! They cannot face this enemy alone. Fight for them!" She demanded.

The gargoyle monsters obeyed her orders and went to join the fight. Emily watched smiling now thinking the battle was fair. Mr. Lordi watched as the other monsters joined him and then he turned his focus on the enemy in all directions. He roared in anger and jumped up hitting the ground hard on his landing; the shockwave from the pounding blew all the demons away from him knocking them against the walls of buildings. He was unstoppable, invincible and untouchable.

"FOR MY LOVE AND MY PEOPLE! TAKE THE BATTLE TO THE ENEMY MY MONSTERS!" He roared, and then he led his army straight towards the larger swarm of demons swarming the city with Emily following behind at a distance to stay safe.

She watched as Mr. Lordi took the fight to even more of the enemy. Mr. Lordi charged into the center of the fight and with one of his other supernatural powers he felt a flame burning inside him. He began crushing the demons all around him with a wave of his hands killing them instantly. They fell before him right at the moment but some picked up a good fight. They are not so tough but I fear they will become tougher, Mr. Lordi thought.
