Mr. Lordi, broke away slightly letting the kiss go and lifted Emily back to her feet. Emily looked at him wondering if she had done something wrong or he wanted to say something.

"Are you all right?" She asked him,

"I am well, I must try to control myself because my affection only means pain," He answered.

Emily refused to believe it. "Don't say things like that, you are wonderful no matter what. You give me the most evil but romantic love ever," She said smiling.

Mr. Lordi put his arms around her again and looked into her eyes. "I spent centuries searching for my one true love. I needed someone close to me after all I endured over those centuries. My father was a demon and my mother a goblin it was not exactly the type of life I was expected to live,"

Emily listened with a curious heart and asked. "Why not? I thought your life was about looking for some kind of artifact to find in my world since the beginning of time,"

"There is more to it than that. The past events did lead to a full-scale war. It started when the demons invaded Lapland the world I grew up in where the goblins were raped and most of them now are all but extinct. I was in the middle of this short war and from there I was given their supernatural powers and I defeated them both. I became the Lord of the Lapland and spent the next two centuries alone growing up with zombie reindeer and a Lapland's owl where I rode in a sleigh. I learned more about my powers and I began to be able to travel through time and other dimensions. Once I gathered my allies who are my friends you have met I began searching for my one true love in hopes of finding someone to protect and perhaps stop the trans-dimensional war against my enemies,"

Emily looked confused. "You lost me again, what trans-dimensional war? Is this the one between my kind and yours?"

Mr. Lordi shook his head. "Not exactly, the war between your kind and mine is only a myth that most of your people still believe in, the Icon of Dominance does not exist either, we use this myth as a decoy to protect your race from the real war. The real war is between me and my allies against the remaining demons, who want revenge from something, and it is something that I have done but I chose to do because I may regret it later on. After I defeated the demons and goblins I thought that was the last I saw of them but I was wrong. During the time I was gathering my allies, the demons returned stronger than ever with a fierce leader one who I thought I would never see again since the day I let her go, she was supposed to be my one true love but she forced herself on me. I could not be with her because of what she did to me and my family. I hoped to find someone new who would not ruin my future; I wandered through the human world until I found someone more pure-hearted, beautiful, and kind. Then I found you."

Emily looked at him deeper into his red eyes. "I will not do the same thing she did to you, and telling me the truth is the bravest thing anyone has ever done for me. We will get through this together I promise," She said smiling. Mr. Lordi held her closer.

"Thank you Emily, now come with me." Emily agreed and he took her hand and led her out of the room.

Mr. Lordi led Emily down the corridor from the room and into the foyer into the room next to the eerie portrait of himself. The room was small with a long table where a box lay on top of it.

"I was hoping to give it to my one true love when she comes, now that she is here and with me I can. I offer this to you," Mr. Lordi said, opening the box revealing a beautiful necklace inside with a blood red heart-shaped ruby on a silver chain.

Emily's eyes widened. "Good gracious, it's beautiful," She remarked,

"Indeed it is," Mr. Lordi replied, taking the necklace out of the box and then he stood behind Emily and put it around her neck.
