Chapter 10 - This is Heavy Metal

Emily woke up in the large ragged canopy bed that Mr. Lordi had let her sleep in for the night. The bed was warm and felt like it was twice the amount of warmth her own bed gave her. She smiled as she sat up and began thinking of last night when she and Mr. Lordi were on the balcony kissing for what it seemed like hours and then he carried her inside and let her take his bed for the night. Oh a Monsterman is so vicious but you fall in love with him and he is so sweet, Emily thought as she kicked the sheets off and slipped her feet into her slippers.

She wanted to embrace the peace and love between her and Mr. Lordi for as long as possible for she knew that soon she would have a job to do which was stopping the war alongside of him. Emily sighed and thought of all her people back home wondering if the demons have already invaded and were perhaps planning to either do what they did in the past or get revenge for something. Nothing came to her mind about what else she believed and then she went back to think of the love Mr. Lordi was giving her, his affection can be painful but romantic, he is such a monstrous but sweet kisser, like a viper and his hugs are like a tight deadly squeeze like a spider, Emily thought, chuckling as she walked around the room collecting her thoughts having a few precious memorable moments to herself until there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," Emily said with a romantic tone in her voice.

The door opened and Mr. Lordi walked in and smiled,

"Good morning my love, have you slept well?"

Emily felt flattered, "Yes I did, like a log. Thanks for letting for me borrow your bed for the night." She answered, walking towards him.

Mr. Lordi gave her a quick hug and then held her hand, "Come this way, there is something we need to do," He said and then led Emily out of the room,

"What is going on? Is it urgent?" Emily asked, starting to feel some concern inside, she assumed it was time to go to war now and was expected to contribute. Mr. Lordi led her into the foyer where a group of monsters where gathering around and Emily managed to recognize some of them.

"My friends, I am glad you came. We must prepare now that I have what I need," Mr. Lordi said, the sound of his voice made the others turn to face him on the stairs with Emily. One monster with long blond hair glared at Emily. "That is what you need is it? She is going to help us? The last time you tried to bond with a human she left nothing but a disappointment." Awa, who was standing nearby shook her head. "At peace Enary. I know we can trust this one." She said as Mr. Lordi and Emily came down the stairs holding hands. Emily looked at Awa and winked as if thanking her for sticking up for her. Another monster that reminded Emily of cyborgs stepped forward. "My lord we need to go at once, the demons are already on their way to the human world. I think they are being led by.......her." Mr. Lordi sighed at the mention of "her" which made Emily think he was referring to who Mr. Lordi had left. "Thank you Magnum, we shall see to it that she is with them once we return to Earth." Mr. Lordi said.

Emily was astonished. "The demons are on Earth? What do they want?"

One of the monsters standing next to Magnum spoke, "Revenge, for what happened long ago, I suspect it is because of the Lord's triumph over them and leaving their leader."

Kita who was standing nearby said. "That is correct G-Stealer,"

Emily beamed at Kita, remembering her last encounter with him in the fiery abyss.

Kita turned to another monster in a top hat, "Kalma have you had any reports from the humans since you have been watching them?"

Kalma nodded, "Yes, I think they will soon go into panic if we do not do something."
