"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
- Psalms 46:10~~~
Reflection:
Be true to yourself. When was the last time you talked to your loved ones without interruptions? No TV. No cellphone. No other gadgets that will disturb a heart-to-heart talk. Just being there with your family or friends talking about things in life, reflecting and reminiscing.
Some can't remember. Some can't say. Some... just ignore it.
There is no wonder why it is too hard for us to listen to what God has to say. There is no wonder why we get discouraged so easily. Perhaps the reason why we can't see and hear God is this: We, ourselves, refused to listen to Him. We just try to ask and throw Him questions that we wanted to be answered but we ended up not waiting an answer from Him at all.
Have you experienced moments when someone asked you and then they left without even waiting what you had to say? How do you feel?
God said in Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God". He said, "Be still." He didn't tell you to "be busy" and then "know that I am God." It means, stop. Stop worrying, stop panicking, stop jumping around looking for relieves. And wait. Wait for His answers. Wait for what he has to say. God basically commanded you to calm down.
There are more than few times that you were led astray because because you try to find answers when you could have waited for God's. Those moments were when you thought that it the answer was "No", but you mistakenly interpreted it as His "yes". You mistaken your will with His. In the end, you became disappointed and eventually, you are losing hope.
How do you listen to God?
You can open your Bible and let the Holy Spirit guide you through its pages. The Holy Spirit will always reveal something to you through His Words. God also speaks through situations. When you are humble and sensitive to God's presence, you would know that He is talking to you through your circumstances. He also speaks through people around you. There are God-sent people who will direct your way to a better change, to a better answer. If you are willing to humble yourself and listen to Him, He can also speak directly to you through visions.
Brethren, when you belong to Him, spend time with Him. Quiet yourself before Him and you will learn to recognize His voice. Keep listening. He will not abandon you in times of your needs.

Prayer:
Dear God, humble my heart so I can feel and bathe in Your presence. Give me wisdom and discernment so I will know which is Your will and which is mine. Help me be still and know that You are God. In Christ's name, Amen.
