#pov: the two lead actors always argue off camera

here you were, in the waiting room for an audition. you were shaking, nervous to say the least whilst you tried memorising the short script given to you the day prior. just as you were going over your lines, someone comes and sits next to you. you looked up at him, he was very very attractive. the way his hair was long and wavy, and the way he looked so confident attracted you a lot. he looked around your age, but as you were staring, he scoffed.
"stop drooling will you, it's weird" you were slightly taken aback by his rudeness "and you seriously haven't memorised it yet?" he motioned to your script
"i'm sorry who do you think you are?"
"i'm sean kwak, and i just happen to be auditioning for the lead male role" sean rolled his eyes " and you are...?"
"y/n l/n (last name), who happens to be auditioning for the lead female role.."
"well let's best hope you don't get the role, don't want to be working with someone who's unprepared now do we"
"and what's makes you think you'll get the role when your head is shoved all the way up your ass?"
"sweetheart, you'll wait and see"
"y/n l/n" the person calls "and sean kwak" you freeze
"huh"
"well 'sweetheart' if you read the email properly, it says it's a joint audition" he walks past you, bumping into your shoulder slightly
"dickhead" you whisper

you were nearing the end of the audition.

"you're stunning.." sean looked at you, with adoration in his eyes.
"you don't look half bad either." you smiled back at him
"CUT!" the director calls
"thank god that's over.." you whisper
"well thank you both for coming for this audition, we'll let you know within the next few weeks whether or not you got the role. you may leave now"

you were honestly quite surprised at how good sean's acting was. kind of feeling a bit embarrassed and started to think if you were lacking. but whatever, at least if you get the role, you won't have to deal with him on set.

"thank you for auditioning, if you received this email you have guaranteed yourself the spot of the lead female role. thank you"

"...i-i got the..part?!?" you reread the same sentence over and over again to make sure you weren't going insane. immediately jumping up and down in your room "I GOT THE PART YES I GOT THE PART...but who got the lead male role?"

it was the first day on set and you were excited, having all the lines for your character memorised you just waited to be called. unfortunately you had found out a few weeks prior at a team meeting that the lead male role was in fact sean, the guy that auditioned with you. you were not happy, but a job is a job and the only time you have to talk is when you're acting. but unluckily for the both of you, you both had to pretend to be in love with each other.

"y/n" sean said as you showed up to the scene
"sean" you nod back
"whatever let's just get this over with"
"ok we'll begin filming in 5..4."
"don't forget your lines idiot."
"right back at ya."
"..1 annnddd ACTION"

you walked down the street, walking past and looking into a cafe window. as you did, sean walked out of the cafe and bumped into you
"i'm so sorry" he said bending down and picking up his wallet that had fallen
"oh that's o..kay" you said until you looked into his eyes. sean smiled and looked you up and down
"you're stunning" his eyes continued to scan your face, causing you to blush
"you don't look half bad either" you smiled, tucking stray pieces of hair behind your ear. why was your heart racing so much, it not like you actually like sean. and it was just acting, nothing real about it.
"CUT! that was perfect, on your first try too. you guys are great! thank you we'll call you back for the next scene.

you turn around and start walking away when you felt someone lightly grab your wrist.
"uh, good job y/n. you did really well." sean said
"acting civil now are we?" you raised your eyebrows
"and you ruined it never mind" sean let's go of your arm and walks back to his trailer. you stand there wondering what that was all about.

over the time it took for the movie to be filmed, you and sean started becoming closer and closer. you were both on friend level now, but ever since the first day of shooting, your heart kept racing whenever you saw him. but now was time to film the final scene, the two characters first kiss, and you were terrified.

"ok guys are you ready" the director asked. to be honest you weren't, you spent the whole day shoving various mints into your mouth, and praying you'll be a decent kisser.
"yep let's do it" sean said as he grabbed your hand. "why are you so nervous?" he whispered into your ear
"w-what. no i'm not" you slightly chuckle before your face falls again
"it's just a kiss y/n, it's just acting" he laughs slightly, you didn't react
"of course he thinks it's just acting, you're so stupid y/n" you thought

"come on, let's go to the bench over there" sean leads the way through the park, your hands still intertwined
"c/n (characters name) wait." you say "i- uh..i need to tell you something"
"what is it?" sean looks into your eyes, full of (acting) concern.
"i'll show you instead." you slowly lean forward towards sean, his gaze on you flicker down to your lips and stay there for a second before joining his eyes with yours again. he too starts to lean forward and that's when you shut your eyes, his lips meet yours as you felt his hair brush against your face. your hands slide up around his neck and play with the back of his hair as his lay gently on your waist, pulling you closer. butterflies were erupting in your stomach, a feeling you've never felt with anyone else. sean was different, a good different. you start to pull away.
"i love you.." you say
"y/n...i love you too.."
"..what? CUT CUT CUT! sean, y/n that's not apart of the script. your characters only say i love you at the very end of the movie...and sean, you know y/n's characters name!"

you completely forgot you were acting.
"sir i'm so sorry i-uh. i just really got caught up and i...i'm sorry. we can redo that scene. i need to go to the restroom" you say, very very embarrassed as you walk away from set to the bathroom.
"y/n wait." sean runs after you "y/n..look at me."
"what is it sean.. i need to go to the bathroom." you try to hold in your tears, you were too embarrassed to look at him in the eyes
"hey, why are you crying" sean comes closer and wipes the tears off your face
"it's just..i like you okay sean, and that wasn't acting it felt different to me and-"
"y/n i feel the same way, did you not hear me say i love you?" you didn't even realise, and now your cheeks flushed red
"uh..no i didn't i was too busy-" he cut you off by kissing you again, you froze not knowing what to do. he smiled into the kiss and grabbed your hands and placed them around his shoulders and put your hairs in his hair, like you did a short while ago. his hands drop towards your waist and pulled you closer.
"you have no idea what you do to me do you?" sean whispered as you pulled away, resting his forehead against yours.
"maybe you can show me.." you whisper back, leaning in for another kiss
