i miss you

#pov: you get insecure that you're the only one trying after we went long distance. but i prove you wrong.

you and sean had been dating for around 5 months, but unfortunately today you were moving to h/t (hometown). you had told sean weeks prior to today that you had to move and he luckily understood, suggesting you both try long distance, you were quite skeptical about it at first but came around to the idea. so here you were, standing outside of your now old house hugging sean as tight as you could. tears were streaming down your face as his eyes were glossy.

"i'm going to miss you so so much." you whisper as you snuggled your head further into his neck, breathing in his scent.
"baby i'm going to miss you so much you have no idea" sean sniffled. bringing you closer to him as he hugged you tighter.

goodbyes are never easy. but not knowing how long it will be until you get to see him in person again broke your heart and made you cry even more.

"i'm sorry, but i'll be back soon okay? i-i can come visit you or something? you know, like fly here to see yo-"
"y/n don't worry okay? we can visit each other, i'll wait for you."  sean pulled his head away from yours. this is the first time you've seen sean cry so much and it hurt. his eyes were puffy and red, his cheeks were tear stained. you leaned forward to connect your lips to him, tasting the mix of both of your tears.
"i love you" you say
"i love you so much" sean whispered
"y/n come on let's go, we're already running late" you dad calls
"go, call me when you've arrived okay?"  sean pulls away but leaves a hand in your back, ushering you to go.
"i will i will. stay safe okay?" you smile, tears still threatening to spill.
"you too, i love you"
"i love you too" you gave sean one last kiss and tight hug, breathing in his cologne for the last time. "WAIT Y/N!" he calls out. "i forgot to give you this" his favourite hoodie...
"sean..are you sure? this is your favourite?" you looked up at him
"i wouldn't want anyone else to have it, besides, it looks better on you anyway." he places a kiss on your head as you drive off.

4 months passed, you and sean still talk everyday for hours. but lately you've been feeling distant, even though you still talked for hours. it just felt as if he didn't really care anymore. you were currently on facetime with him, he was playing games as you just sat there looking at him. you missed him so much, his scent on his hoodie fading. you couldn't even remember what hugging him felt like. sean was concentrated with his game, he didn't notice you sigh.

"hey, i miss you.." you say, not really expecting much of a reaction
"i miss you too" he replies, not taking his eyes off the game
"seems like i miss you more than you.." you roll your eyes, wanting more than a half assed response
"what do you mean? every minute of every hour, i miss you more" sean says, finally taking his eyes off the game and looking at you with a confused face.
"i know i was being dumb. i'm sorry it's just i miss you so much.."
"well i was going to surprise you. but seeing that you're like this, i'm coming next week to visit you for a week." he grinned widely
"WHAT? you're kidding..."
"i'm not, ask your parents"
"but ho-how did you- what?!"
"surprise!"
