" I'm guessing the music was too loud for you?" George asked the stranger, trying to start up a conversation though it wasn't of his forte.

" Well, I mean the music is fine, it's just that I can get a bit claustrophobic in places like these," the male lightly laughed at himself.

" You too huh?" George mumbled under his breath.

Taking in the silence for a moment, the brunet smiled upon spotting a star in the sky.

" Well then, what brings you to this..." the male glanced over to a few drunks trying to rewire the grill. "...humble abode?"

The stranger huffed slightly, stretching his arms out.

" Techno dragged me along, saying I would turn into a nerd if I spent too long in the darkness of my room."

George giggled.

Sounded like Techno.

" What about you then?" the male asked, tilting his head at George.

" Peer pressure," the brunet responded as he shrugged.

" From the other Hunters, I'm guessing?" they asked, looking over to George to stare at him.

The male stayed quiet for a moment.

" No, just one of them. Darryl was being a muffin and Ant was returning to be a shut-in," George responded. The duo fell into a pocket silence once more, listening to the muffled noises of the party raging inside the house.

" So did the idea of finding your soulmate not sit with you right?" The male mused. George grimaced, looking back at the stranger.

" I don't like the idea that no matter what I'll somehow fall in love with them. I rather fall in love with somebody on my own time." George huffed as he narrowed his eyes.

"Huh. But can't some soulmates just stay friends?" the stranger purred, lightly leaned closer to George unbeknownst to him.

George paused for a moment to think about it.

" I guess so?"

Hearing a sound almost like a wind chime he froze as he looked over.

It was a string. Connecting where his heart should be to the strangers.

It was a weird shade of yellow.
