~~GEORGE'S POV~~
It had been only two days since George's short visit and he was still stuck on the words that had been spoken.
It just felt foreign.
George had gotten worse than before he visited Dream. He felt so...dead inside.
And he kept on feeling the familiar tug, screaming at him to help his soulmate in some way. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. He just couldn't do it.
Nick wasn't being any help though with his overwhelming energy.
Especially the new friend he brought in that constantly caused George to lose brain cells.
" Bubble Tea again?" Darryl asked as he smiled brightly. George returned a meek smile, before going back to daydreaming.
He was getting tired of being tired.
How did that work? He didn't know, but it was true.
Lightly rubbing his temples he let out a hesitant sigh. He flinched, feeling something cold touch his cheek. Slowly looking up he noticed that Darryl had pressed the drink on the side of his face.
George murmured a thank you as he relaxed, taking a sip from the tea.
" Are you ok muffin? I can definitely tell that something is wrong with you," Darryl said softly causing George to pause.
" Soulmate bond," George responded curtly. He couldn't bring himself to say anything else.
" I can tell the aftereffects are effecting you, George. Have you tried speaking with Dream?" Darryl offered as he sat down next to the empty chair next to George.
" Yeah, didn't go well," George muttered as he took another sip from the drink.
Darryl stayed silent for a moment before shifting around in his seat.
" You want to talk about? My dad would understand if I didn't come back to the kitchen," Darryl lightly smiled at George.
And so George told Darryl. He didn't add anything to the story like his frustrations or his confusion. He just told of the events that happened.
" That's...not good. I can't imagine not being able to help Geppy," Darryl mused before shaking his head.
" Well, the way that I think of it is...hmm...well I think Dream might not be used to the new idea. I mean he's stayed with his parents all his life and he has only known you for a few weeks," Darryl said softly.
" If you try forcing your ideas and views on Dream he would probably reject them," Darryl mused.
George listened quietly to Darryl, taking in the information.
" If I was extremely hurt by something that caused me to see things differently, I might want somebody to talk to about it. You know, just somebody to listen to me. I wouldn't want somebody to judge me or well, critique me on what I'm doing I guess." Darryl paused for a breath.
" I guess that I would be weak to certain emotions so that wouldn't help me at all. But I guess, just try to think that you're supporting them. They aren't supporting you after all." Darryl froze as he lightly turned flushed giving an apologetic look to George.
" But you're his soulmate after all! You probably know him more than me!" Darryl said as he got up.
" Well, my father is probably pulling his hair out for my disappearance. I'll talk to you later George. I hope things go well with Dream!" Darryl lightly waved at George before disappearing back into the kitchen.
Lightly thinking about it all, George clenched his fists. He wasn't too certain but, he knew what to do now.
