~~CLAY'S POV~~
Did his words really hurt George so much that he had to leave?
Mother and father had said the truth will always be better than any type of lie.
But Clay was doubting himself a little now. He did miss the feeling of a nightmare less sleep. Maybe he should try to go find George and try listening.
Then again, that would mean leaving the house. He didn't want to bring any sadness to his parents because of him.
That would be insensitive.
~~GEORGE'S POV~~
Deciding to not take the balcony this time, George lightly knocked on the front door.
He was too tired to scale a wall again anyways.
The door swung open revealing a scowling woman. She was quite tall and the heels she was wearing increased it even more. Long straight brown hair ended at her hips.
One might even call her beautiful.
George shook his head before giving the woman a meek smile.
" What do you want? If it's a product I don't want it," The woman snarled as she towered over him.
George could tell that being tall ran in the family, but definitely not the attitude.
" Oh..no. I just wanted to visit Dream-" George stopped as the woman narrowed her eyes.
" Still using that dumb name huh?" the woman muttered under her breath before giving George an empty smile.
" I see! So you're his friend! I'm sorry to say but he isn't here at the moment. But why don't you tell me about yourself?" The woman leaned in a bit to George.
Lies.
George bit back the harsh words though, he wasn't here for Dream's mother. He was here for Dream, and it was best to suck up to the mom so he could see the boy.
" O-oh, well...what do you wanna know?" George said stumbling over his words.
" How did my son meet you?" The lady asked staring at him.
From his earlier visit, George could sum up that Dream's parents were quite strict and judging. So it might be better to give a story that painted his friend as a good person.
" Well, I first met him through mutuals, we didn't talk too much. But we became friends after we were paired up in a group project!" George offered up with a light smile.
He took a theater class with his friends a long time ago. It was more of a way to project after his breakup. It was fun pretending to be what you weren't after all.
George didn't regret the break up with Darby though. It made him pick up a new skill at least.
The woman didn't respond. Taking a moment to digest George's words, she stared at him with an unidentifiable emotion in her eyes.
" Mom, who are you talking to?" Hearing the familiar voice, George frowned.
Get caught bitch.
Seeing the familiar face appear next to the woman, George lightly waved at Dream.
Dream didn't say anything, only giving George a calculating stare.
" Well, look at the time! I have to go pick some stuff now! Now you boys enjoy yourselves while I got fetch some things!" The woman chimed in with the excuse, disappearing somewhere into the house.
The duo stared at each other, Dream unwilling to say anything, and George unable to say anything.
