~~CLAY'S POV~~

" Well, at least you didn't climb in through the balcony this time," Clay mustered up before beckoning the other boy in.

He could hear George exhale quickly before recovering and following Clay.

Clay didn't have anything to say to the other boy. He enjoyed George's company and all, it's just sometimes he couldn't understand him.

He made Clay happy and hurtful at the same time. He just confused Clay.

Laying on his bed, he stared at his empty ceiling. He could hear George shifting through the pages of a notebook.

" I was looking through the notebook earlier George," Clay said hesitatingly. He could hear the sound of pages turning stop.

" You doodles are really pretty George. But why do you draw so many birds?" Clay questioned, as he lightly lifted his head to stare at George.

George stayed silent, flipping through the pages of the notebook even faster.

Clay waited for an answer but to no avail. Sighing he flopped back onto the bed.

" Two...birds...on a wire." hearing George lightly sang. Clay perked up before staring at George.

One says c'mon and the other says "I'm tired"," George's voice sounded much more sure now. It was tinted with a bit of sadness though.

The sky is overcast and I'm sorry....one more or one less, nobody's worried," George gently placed the notebook on the coffee table, staring at his hand.

Two birds of a feather, say that they're always gonna stay together," George's voice cracked a bit before he pushed his glasses up.

" But one's never going to let go of that wire, He says that he will...." Looking over to Clay, George gave him a light smile. It was...a bit saddening to Clay.

" But I'm just a liar" George whispered the last line as he picked up the notebook again. Looking at George with a questioning look Clay shook his head.

" Sorry, it was just the song I always sang back then," George lightly chuckled as he tore a page out of the notebook.

Clay only had a glimpse of the picture but he immediately remembered it.

It was a very detailed drawing of two sparrows.

" Did you know Dream, that birds don't mate for life? A female might leave the male to mate with another male that has 'better genetics'." George smiled as he tore the paper into tiny pieces.

" But with house sparrows, if the male found out about the female's little trip, they provide less food to their brood or basically make the kids suffer," Staring at the torn pieces of paper on the ground George snorted.

" Interesting right? But less about myself, I came here to talk with you," George said, turning his stare to Clay.
