"Kara"
......
"Darling wake up"
.......
"Kara?"
........
"Kara Anolva Phoenix ,wake up!!!"
Bursting my eyes open, I scrambled in my sheets frantically holding my hands up answering "Alright , Alright I'm up!". I threw my quilts to the side putting on my slippers, turning to stare at her questioningly. "Well what's the occasion?" I say while she heads over to my closet and rummages through it. I swear it should be a crime to wake up someone this early in the morning. The freaking sun isn't even out yet.
"Kara I expect of you to be more vigilant of the days and time"She said as she looked up from my closet. She walked over to me and she handed me a long sleeve red velvet dress, "While you so graciously slept, your father and I were preparing your trunk for your departure to Hogwarts as I expect you to remember".
"Huh was that today?" She scowled at me and I took the dress in her hands as I headed to the bathroom to change and wash up. Locking the door behind me I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.
"Ah Kara today's the day," I rubbed my eyes with water and brushed my teeth in a hurry and rushed out of the bathroom. After putting on my clothes and I found my mother packing some miscellaneous items in a leather bag, given that today would be my first day in Hogwarts, like she wanted to get rid of me.
"Be a dear and please behave today" she said with a frown on her face. It was not that I was a terrible child, it was measly the fact that I didn't exactly neither stay silent when needed or followed all rules.
"Why wouldn't I ?"I smirked.
"The Malfoys' are here today and I cannot afford you making us appear fools." She sternly looked at me with her chin up high in the air. If it were any higher it be saying hello to a passing shooting star.
"May I ask as to why they are here?," I questioned as she walked over to the door and with a hand placed on the handle before she said, "As you may recall, we are forming a contract with them for some future finances so they have come over to speak the terms."
I vaguely remembered all those times where I had been forced to listen to their discussions as a form of preparing myself for when I took over the family estate and nodded my head.
"Yes I remember but what does this have to do with me and my rude awakening?'', She sent a scowl my way and opened the door slightly.
"Their son happens to be attending Hogwarts as well and I need you to accompany him to the station and do be nice".
My eyebrows shot up and I let out an unamused sigh, "Right of course".
I didn't need to ask why since I already knew the answer as this had happened so many times. Many times when my parents friends had children my age, I was encouraged to make friends to further strengthen the chance for future business and investments. You know "put a good face on the family". I would always simply agree and would try to befriend all the spoiled brats.
The only time this had ever worked was when I was introduced to Lena Anderson, daughter of The Andersons' . Her family had been invited to our house for the festivities one faithful day and I clearly remember her hiding behind her mothers dress with her white curly locks, deep brown skin ,and her multiple colored eyes. She looked so timid and for a snipet of a moment she looked as though she was gonna cry. My mother of course, had then pushed me towards her and as I moved closer, she stared at me with her doe eyes.
