"So what did you get? I got Divination and Care of Magical Creatures."
"Oh I got Arithmacy and Divination, " I groaned, "I can already feel my brain hurting."
After I had raged off on Malfoy and left him there with his gaping face, Alex and I had walked to the great hall for some food. When we sat down I had encouraged her to speak about something other than quidditch to sort of get her mind out of gutter. I would've thought she might've been discouraged about what had happened but on the contrary it seems the rage fulled even more encouragement in her.
I was startled when she slammed her cup on the table spilling a little bit of her juice. She was muttering under her breath making me raise my eyebrow at her skeptically.
"Still can't believe that prat bribed his way in and look," She nodded towards the great hall door, "Oh and look speak of the devil and he appears."
Sure enough Malfoy was heading over to us. He smugly sat down next to me while Alex sneered at him with every move he made. He took an apple from the center of our table and bit it before speaking.
"Well?," He didn't even bother to look at either of us but rather he held his head high pompously. I sent a confused look to Alex and she sent one back.
"Well what?," I asked.
He scoffed and continued to hold his head high, "Aren't you going to apologize."
"Apologize? Apologize for what."
He whipped his head to me and exclaimed, "For my bruised leg!!!"
I'm not exaggerating when I say I burst into laughter almost spitting out my juice. A little bit did come out of my mouth though. I laughed even more when he stared at me in disgust.
Wipping my mouth with sleeve of my sweater, I retorted,"I don't see the need to apologize for a justified action."
"Justified? I could've lost a leg," He complained.
I rolled my eyes at him and turned my head away from him to Alex, " Ms.Lenoschvitz do you think that with my thin and fragile legs, I could've possibly caused considerable damage on Mr.Malfoy's leg ,who in fact was being a git?". I batted my eyes innocently.
Malfoy eyed us with disgust yet again when Alex answered, "Why no Ms.Phoenix I do not. Why I simply think Mr.Malfoy here is being a bit of a baby wouldn't you say."
"What are you playing at you nitwits!," he spat.
I turned to him and jabbed my finger in his chest and declared, "In conclusion, Draco Malfoy is an overly dramatic git." Oh boy he was fuming with anger and a tad of humiliation.
He pushed me away fleeting to his feet and stomping away like a child. He was just proving our point further with this little feat. In the time I had known him, he would complain and make comments all the time and some would make me laugh and others not so much. I guess today I was particularly ticked off by his little retorts.
We burst into laughter making the those around us look at us.
"That was utterly priceless," Alex beat her hand on the table gasping for air, "Did you see his face?"
"He's not going to talk to me in a long time is he?," I wiped my tears of laughter away.
"Does it matter?," She took her fork and stuffed a giant piece of pie in her mouth. Ah this was gonna bite me in the arse wasn't it? Malfoy wasn't the type to let anyone speak badly about him and I was no exception to this. All the times I had said or done something to him he had always gotten back at me in one way or another. Either leaving hexed candy for me to eat or causing me trouble in discrete ways. I just knew he would get me back a little worse this time however.
