A.N~ They are in that bridge above.
"Behold, there standing in all it's glory is where the magic begins," I extended my hands out towards the bridge ahead. This had been one of my favorite spots since my family first came to the manor 10 years ago. I had discovered it by accident in one of my many rage tantrums and since then I would come here to watch the fish swim by and to speak my feelings to whatever that was listening. This place held a dear spot in my heart.
"Consider yourself lucky Malfoy. This is the best and my most favorite place within the whole estate,"I smugly placed my hands above my hips and proudly rose my head.
"It's a stupid bridge," He answered back. He just couldn't let me have my moment.
"Way to be downer there blondie," I walked towards the edge of the bridge and sat down making sure that my legs were swinging over the side. I tapped the empty space next to me and Malfoy reluctantly followed and sat in the same position as I.
"Look see there," I pointed to the fish passing by making him crane his head just a little to see,"My aquatic friends have come to see me once again. They make great conversation by the way"
He turned to me and eyed me like I was some sort of mental patient, "How long have you been alone."
"How rude of you to ask," I placed my arms on the railing and laid my head on them, taking in the scenery ,"Go on, ask them something," I pointedto the river below, "They give the best advice."
"You've gone wanky and what the bloody hell do I ask a fish anyway?," He rolled his eyes.
"Have an imagination won't you," I patted his shoulder and he looked at me briefly before clearing his throat.
"Fine," Oh boy he was in for a surprise. He continued sarcastically," How are you this fine afternoon Mr. Whoever I'm speaking to?" He turned and eyed me skeptically before a golden fish popped his head out and gaped at Malfoy.
"What the-," Malfoy squinted his eyes and before he could react the fish responded with a sweet voice before resurfacing back into the water, "Why i'm having a splendid day young man. Thank you." Malfoy scrambled to his feet and scurried to the other side of the bridge in terror.
"It-it- it talks!!," He shakily pointed his finger at the river in a horrified expression.
I stood up and walked over to him placing my hand on his shoulder and leading him slowly back to the edge. Still in a frit he sat down once more making sure he wasn't hallucinating or anything. After a minute or two his breathing slowed down and I spoke up.
"My father had these enchanted once he found out I had been talking to them. He didn't tell me of course. You can imagine the scare I received when they answered back," I laughed and turned to peek at him and he was staring back with a befuddled look.
"What's wrong?," I asked. He turned back and shook his head, "Nothing. You and your family are a bunch of lonnies."
I watched as he stood up and dusted off his clothing leaving me still sitting on the edge dangling my feet. "You're lucky I'm not taking that to heart," I replied.
"Pity," He retorted sarcastically. I stood up and walked over to where he was and together we made our way to the manor. It took a bit of a while since Malfoy insisted he lead the way but the dimwit hardly knew where he was going so I pushed him aside and took over leaving him scoffing behind.
Once we entered the manor, we advanced to the dining room where our parents where conversing with the many families my father had invited over. I made way over to him and began the gruesome process of introductory smiles and welcoming shakes to everyone in the room. I could see from the corner of my eye that Malfoy was stiffly standing next to his father giving occasional greetings whenever someone passed by. I couldn't help but feel bad for him. He didn't exactly look like he was having even the slightest bit of fun at all.
