Mark checked again to make sure he had everything, a frown on his face. He wasn't the one bringing the food, so that wasn't a problem. But making sure everything else was perfect for a picnic date was absolutely vital. He had blankets, fans, drinks, and that was everything he could think of needing. His phone was charged, he was dressed exceedingly nicely (because this was a date, and he didn't want to be underdressed next to Hyuck) and he was going to get flowers on the way there.

Biting his lip, he tugged on his shoes and checked himself in the mirror again. Yeah, he looked good enough to be seen on a date in public with Hyuck.

Mark finished grabbing everything and double-triple checked to make sure everything was in order before going out and locking the door behind him. He was probably just going to walk to the river, both him and Donghyuck lived close enough to do so, and it was a nice day out.

Plus, if Mark walked, he passed the flower shop his friend Yuta worked at, and Yuta would be over the moon Mark finally had someone to buy flowers for besides his mom.

Mark walked for a few more minutes before entering the flower shop, the little bell ringing happily. Yuta looked up and smiled widely, waving happily to Mark. "Do you want the regular arrangement Mark?" Yuta asked, and Mark shook his head, nerves welling in his throat as he tried to speak.

"Can I have something more - uh, more like, romantic?" Mark managed, and Yuta gasped dramatically.

"Romantic? Mark Lee, do you have a date?"

"Maybe?" Mark managed, and Yuta beamed at him.

"Okay, what's my price limit? I'll get you a special one done in no time."

"Can you do under twenty?"

"Of course," Yuta beamed. "So, do I know them?"

"I don't think so." Mark mused. "He's a sophomore."

"Ah, I see. Has he come in here with you?"

"He could have come in on his own, and yeah, I have brought him in a few times." Yuta nodded, grabbing sunflowers, and Mark smiled widely.

"If he's the boy I'm thinking of, he loves sunflowers right?" Mark nodded, remembering how when Hyuck had come in here, he had excitedly pointed out how pretty Yuta's sunflowers were. "So, what's his favourite colour?"

"Red and black. He'll probably be wearing a black shirt and jeans, but since I never wear jeans, I thought I'd try to look nice."

"You do look nice. What date number is this?" Yuta added some greens and smaller daisies, and Mark fidgeted with the blanket in his arms.

"One."

"Really?" Yuta asked. "Mark look at you go! You'll do great."

"I'm just getting nervous." Mark confessed and Yuta laughed, grabbing white and red roses to add to the arrangement. "Wait -"

"Mark this is your first date! You've gotten no one else flowers except for your mom, this bouquet is going to be killer."

"He does like dramatics," Mark said cautiously, and Yuta laughed.

"See! I can read your mind!" Yuta enthused, adding baby's breath and ferns into the mix and beginning to wrap the flowers. "Do you need a vase?"

"I have one," Mark pointed at his satchel, and Yuta nodded in satisfaction. When he handed him the bouquet, Mark held it in one arm as Yuta rang him up. He glanced at the price and frowned, looking at Yuta, who had a pleased smile on his face. "Yuta, that price isn't right."

"I'm charging you for one rose."

"Yuta -"

"Just bring me a coffee the next time 127 meets up." Yuta said, referring to their dance crew. Mark nodded, paying for the flower(s) and leaving, beginning the rest of the walk to the Han River.
