The black-haired man grabbed his suitcase from the overhead compartment, apologising in soft Korean to the woman next to him.

He looked remarkably well put together, his slacks perfectly pressed and his glasses without smudge marks that one would expect. Even though he had wireless headphones in his ears, he still apologised for pushing a little and thanked the flight crew.

Then he got into the customs line, turning his phone off airplane mode and biting his lip. Immediately, a notification from someone named, very suitingly, 'sunshine' popped up.

The man opened it, smiling when he saw the content. "Waiting for you at the base of the escalator. Don't be sly and go a different way." The man murmured, smiling at the message and typing out a response of 'okay, just landed. See you soon.'

When he got up in the line, he showed the officer his papers and visas, and was waved through to the next point. As he got closer, he started to shake a little more.

What if he was too different? He hadn't seen his lover in a year, what if he hated him now? He walked through the metal detector, visibly getting more nervous. "Clear. Please proceed down the escalator." The security guard said, and the man nodded, grabbing his bag and going towards the escalator, taking out his earbuds and shivering a little.

Germany was cold, but so was Korea. And it seemed like he wasn't warming up soon.

His eyes searched the crowd at the base and sighed when he didn't see his boyfriend. It was okay, he was probably just going to the restroom or something.

Plus, it was a crowd.

He took a few steps off the escalator, and was slammed into with the force of a wrecking ball. Bracing himself, he grabbed the person by the waist and felt him wrap his legs around his waist.

"Hi Mark," the other man said, and Mark immediately smiled, feeling warm tears soaking his shirt from where his boyfriend was crying.

"Look at you cry," Mark said teasingly, pretending he wasn't teary eyed himself. "I promise I'm actually here."

"Oh shut up, you're going to cry too." Donghyuck said into Mark's shoulder, holding him tighter. "And you have no idea how pissed I'd be if you had pranked me, we wouldn't be in a relationship."

"I wouldn't do that, I missed you just as much."

"Probably more -"

"Oh please." Mark laughed, burying his nose in Donghyuck's hair. "It was equal." They lapsed into quiet as Mark tried to move with Donghyuck wrapped around him, and Mark finally sighed. "Baby, I need you to get off me."

"No."

"Hyuckie, I need to get my suitcases from the conveyer -"

"No."

"Sunshine, my love, my life, get off of me please. You can cling onto me afterwards okay? When we get back to your apartment."

"But what if I want to make up for all the cuddle minutes we missed?" Donghyuck whined as Mark gently wiggled his arms out from around Donghyuck's grip, prying Donghyuck's arms off much to his boyfriend's complaints. As he did so, he saw that Donghyuck's ring finger had a simple gold band on it, and he smiled widely, remembering how he'd given it to Hyuck right before he left.

"Do you wear the promise ring everywhere?" Mark asked, and Donghyuck finally unlatched completely, putting his hand in Mark's and lacing their fingers together.

"Don't you?"

"Of course," Mark replied, taking his necklace out of his shirt and smiling as the matching gold ring dangled prettily. "It's next to my heart."
