Mark let out a soft noise as Donghyuck bumped into him, almost causing Mark to almost drop his ice cream. "Dude," Mark exclaimed, and Donghyuck looked at him, seeming to realise what had almost occurred.

"Sorry, I didn't want to get run over by the hooligans!" Donghyuck raised his voice at Jaemin and Jeno, and heard Jeno laugh in response.

"So, why are we here?" Mark asked, putting his sunglasses on his head for a second to squint at Donghyuck. It had been nearly a month since his concussion, which meant he was entirely healed except for occasional headaches.

Donghyuck was overly cautious though, and that meant Mark had to wear sunglasses everywhere. Mark didn't understand why his best friend was being like that, but it meant that Hyuck was almost always coming over to say hi or check on him. And that within itself was damaging beyond belief for Mark's heart.

Because Donghyuck, if he did anything, everything, or nothing - made Mark's heart fly to the stars. Even now, as he looked around the river for god knows what (Mark suspected that they had just come because Donghyuck believed he needed more time outside of the house), Mark's heart refused to stop trying to sprint.

"Mark!" Donghyuck suddenly said excitedly, grabbing Mark's hand easily, lacing their fingers together and making Mark's breath hitch. "Look!"

"What?" Mark managed breathlessly, his eyes landing on Donghyuck's face instead of where he was pointing. He looked perfect under the sunlight, his skin practically glowing as he excitedly pointed at whatever he was pointing at.

"You have to look!" Donghyuck exclaimed, and Mark finally looked to see what looked like a giant enclosure.

"What is it?"

"A petting zoo! We have to go!"

"Weren't we here for a school assignment? You said you had to collect leaves for science?"

"Yeah fuck that, it's petting zoo time!" Donghyuck practically dragged Mark towards the enclosure, making Mark drop his ice cream and frown.

"You made me drop my ice cream," Mark whined, and Donghyuck rolled his eyes.

"I'll buy you a new ice cream okay baby?" Donghyuck said, and Mark choked on air. He knew Donghyuck had to be saying baby as in the way he was acting, but it still sent sparks running down Mark's spine and a flush to creep up his neck.

"Okay," Mark responded after clearing his throat, and Donghyuck beamed at him.

"Okay! So let's go!" Donghyuck managed to drag Mark to the gate and Mark was relieved that admission was free, otherwise he might be forced to pay, even with it as Donghyuck's idea.

"Look! They have a llama!" Donghyuck said, jumping up and down a little, and Mark looked at him fondly. "We can pet it right?"

"Of course you can," one of the workers said, smiling. "Just hold out your hand flat and palm up."

"You realise we're in a petting enclosure right?" Mark asked, and Donghyuck pouted.

"I just want to make sure!" Mark laughed at that, ruffling Donghyuck's hair with the hand Donghyuck wasn't holding before pinching his ear.

"Your ears are red, are you cold?"

"No, I'm fine Markie," Donghyuck beamed, and Mark smiled at him, unable to help himself.

"Cute," Mark muttered, and saw Donghyuck's ears turn even redder. "Are you sure you're not sick Hyuck?" Mark asked, and Donghyuck looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah I'm good," Donghyuck muttered, unlacing his hand from Mark's, and Mark made a soft noise of disappointment at the loss of warmth.

He didn't realise how much he loved touching Donghyuck until Donghyuck had let go of his hand. It was just that Donghyuck was warm, and always knew exactly how to hug Mark to make him feel like nothing was going wrong - and even the way he held Mark's hand made Mark feel like he was home in a blanket instead of at the Han River in the summertime.
