Mark muttered a curse as he felt the urge to stretch but didn't have the strength to even move. The machines around him were beeping, but he couldn't really hear them as he looked at his family next to him.

God, him and Hyuck had managed to raise such a beautiful family. After Hyuck had proposed, they'd gotten married two years later. Two years after they were married, they started their first adoption process.

That was when they adopted their daughter, Yanggwibi Caroline Lee at the age of five. Her nickname was Bibi, and she immediately took after Mark more than Hyuck.

Hyuck had jokingly said he hated it, but Bibi still adored her Dada and Papa, and she had shown it with drawing a family portrait of the three of them and Latte.

Hyuck had kept it in his trunk of treasures that now sat scattered across Mark's hospital bed, and he could remember each and every story with them.

He could remember when they adopted their son, Ujin, and Donghyuck had wanted his English name to be Toronto. Mark had refused, making the middle name Tobias instead.

Mark, however, hadn't been so lucky with their third daughter and final child. Haebaragi, with the nickname Hae or Gigi, was given the middle name Montreal because Mark had been distracted when signing the papers and didn't see that Donghyuck had put that as the middle name.

Mark could not count how many times he had apologised to his daughter, who thought it was the funniest thing in the world that Dad had gotten fooled by Papa.

But now they were grown, standing by his bedside with his grandchildren looking back at him with wide eyes. "Dad, you can sleep now," Bibi said, brushing the hair out of his eyes. "Papa is probably anxiously waiting."

Mark had lived a good life by any standards - he'd worked hard, keeping the house Hyuck had bought before their wedding until they adopted Gigi and had to move. Hyuck had stayed home first, working online and taking care of the kids while Mark did research around the world.

When he came home and announced he was going to be staying in Seoul from now on, Hyuck whooped and kissed him square on the mouth.

That was how he got to see his children grow up, and he wouldn't change it for the world.

"I -" Mark's voice was hoarse, and tears began to leak from his eyes. "I love you. All of you."

"We know," Ujin said, tears already welling in his eyes. "And we love you."

"You did well Dad," Gigi chimed, holding her daughter on her hip. "And we'll see you on the other side."

And like that, Mark closed his eyes, his heart monitor finally flatlining, and Mark himself passing away.

When he opened his eyes, he was met with a sight he never thought he'd see again. "I thought you'd stay wrinkly." Were Mark's first words, and Donghyuck rolled his eyes from where he lay next to him on a fluffy cloud. He looked like he did in their twenties, his hair back in a full messy fluff and any sign of wrinkles gone. When Mark looked at his own hands, they weren't wrinkled anymore, so he could only imagine that he looked younger too.

"Still a charmer I see. By the way, I'm mad at you."

"Why?" Mark asked, already knowing what Hyuck was going to say.

"You left me!"

"Hyuckie you died five years earlier than me, what was I going to do, jump off a cliff? I could hardly move!"

"I'm sure Gigi would have shoved you off the cliff."

"And Bibi would have stopped her while Ujin panicked."

"Oh thank goodness you're here," a new voice said, and Hyuck smiled lazily. "This little thing has been pestering me since he got here, not coming into heaven, bothering other souls, he even went for a field trip to hell! How, in your life, did you put up with him?" The angel kept rambling, and Mark burst into laughter.

"He was on his good behaviour from what you've said."

"Oh my gosh that was good? How did he get into Heaven, I swear -"

"So he is coming with me?" Mark asked, and the angel nodded a yes.

"Finally he won't be my problem. Do you tame him at all?"

"Well, considering I'm the last of our friend group to die, I'm afraid it will only be more chaotic. But thanks for letting us in!" Mark grabbed Donghyuck's hand and raced into heaven, immediately hearing familiar voices.

"No I am not going to put the cobblestone cloud in my mouth, what are you, three?"

"Three inches more like."

"I don't think he's that small."

"You're right it's closer to four."

"Renjun!"

"What?"

They rounded the corner to see Sungchan, Shotaro, Hendery, Dejun, YangYang, Renjun, Jisung, Chenle, Jaemin, and Jeno lazing around, bickering in front of a cafe that looked a lot like the one Jeno had owned until his death - and the one they all went to.

"Oh finally you're here!" Chenle claimed, seeing their final two friends coming closer, holding hands and smiling.

"Took you long enough."

"I've been dead longer than you you brat," Hyuck teased Sungchan, who stuck his tongue out.

"Yeah, and you were stubborn and didn't come in without Mark. But now that he's here, wanna go say hi to everyone?"

"Everyone?"

"Yeah! Almost everyone is here, except for the criminals, but you know!" Donghyuck beamed, and Mark heard a yapping noise that he recognised.

"Latte!" Mark let go of Donghyuck and ran to scoop up the dog instead, letting the dog give him kisses. "Oh hello my angel my little baby -"

"He wasn't even this happy to see me," Donghyuck groaned, and Mark laughed, making his way back over to press a kiss to Donghyuck's cheek.

He'd lived a long life with Donghyuck by his side, and he was ready to spend even longer with him in the afterlife.
