"Are you driving me home tonight?" Donghyuck asked, and Mark looked up from where he was pulling his shirt over his head, startled.

"Are you going to the party?" Mark had just gotten done with the last soccer game of the regular season, and they had barely won, meaning the party tonight was going to be insane. Not that it never was, but after a close game, there were always more people, more booze, and more excitement in the air.

"Of course." And that was exactly Donghyuck's scene. He loved parties, he loved celebrations, he loved the overall feeling of a party. Mark only went when his friends did - specifically Donghyuck went - so Mark was almost always there.

"Then yeah, I'll be your ride." Mark grabbed his keys and smiled at Donghyuck, knowing Donghyuck wouldn't be wasted, but he wouldn't want him to drive.

"Thanks," Donghyuck smiled back, sitting on the bench as Mark put on his shoes completely. "You did good today."

"I mostly did assists, no big deal," Mark shrugged, and Donghyuck rolled his eyes.

"No big deal," Donghyuck mocked. "Mark you know you're a sure - shot captain next year right? You're literally the backbone of this team." Mark rolled his eyes, and Donghyuck just lifted Mark's chin, making Mark's breath hitch as Donghyuck's eyes seemed to search his for something.

Mark bit his bottom lip, his eyes flickering down to Donghyuck's lips before looking back up at Donghyuck, whose eyes hadn't moved from his. "Remember it, okay?"

"That I'm the backbone of the team?" Mark managed breathlessly, and Donghyuck nodded.

"Yes Markie." Donghyuck said softly, smirking at him. "You know, you're pretty attractive out there."

"What?" Mark choked out, and Donghyuck beamed innocently, taking his hand off of Mark's chin.

"What?" Donghyuck stood up, and Mark couldn't shake the feeling that he'd completely missed something. "Are we gonna head out?"

"Yeah, yeah we should. It's at Lucas's right?"

"Yep." Mark felt Donghyuck's eyes on him as he finished grabbing everything, then smiled at Hyuck, trying to ignore the sparks in his blood and the way his breath kept catching. "Let's go then."

"Okie dokie," Donghyuck laced his hand in Mark's and walked out with him, talking about how cool the game was and about how he was excited to let loose for a minute.

"As long as you're safe," Mark said as he unlocked his car and Donghyuck slid into the passenger side door, Mark getting in as well and starting the engine. "The others are gonna be there right?"

"Yeah, all of them are. Most of them are already there, I was just waiting for you, but also most of them said they're only there for a minute or two. Appearances."

"Thanks," Mark hummed, beginning to back out of his parking space. Donghyuck plugged in his phone, and within seconds, Donghyuck was singing along happily with Lovesick Girls by BlackPink.

Mark just chuckled and started to sing along too, going through a few songs before they pulled up at the Wong mansion. There were people spilling out of it, with the music shaking the floorboards and sure to blow out eardrums.

Donghyuck got out immediately, visibly excited, and Mark rolled his eyes, getting out as well and following Donghyuck into the party as Donghyuck grabbed one of the bottles of beer, popping it open and downing it within a minute, and then grabbing a cup for some whiskey and coke.

Mark rolled his eyes again at his friend before getting himself a bottle of beer and opening it, taking a small sip. He wouldn't get drunk or even slightly tipsy off that, so it wasn't a big deal.
