Mark turned in his bed, blinking blearily at the light in his eyes. He was trying to catch up on sleep before he had to start school - he'd stayed up too late catching up on summer college work.

He was entering his freshman year, and honestly, he loved college. The only thing he would say he missed was the constant popping up of his boyfriend, but Hyuck was also busy finishing his last year of high school.

Mark loved his roommates too - Daniel, Han, and Lucas were an eclectic bunch, but they were still fun. They had all elected to do college classes, so they'd already moved onto campus together.

So he figured they were trying to trick him into doing something and groaned. "Get away whichever one you are."

"Wow," a voice said, and Mark's eyes flew open. "I feel the love Markie."

"Hyuck?" Mark asked, sitting up and looking at him. "Oh my god."

"Happy birthday," Donghyuck said softly, holding out his arms for a hug. "We both took summer classes and I couldn't see you until now, sorry."

"Is it already August?" Mark asked, getting onto his knees and falling into Hyuck's embrace.

"Yes baby, it's August second." Hyuck carded his fingers through Mark's hair, and Mark snuggled closer, Hyuck's warmth making him feel even more sleepy. "You managed to come see me for my birthday in June, so I thought I could return the favour."

Mark nodded, then realised this could very well just be a dream. So he pinched Hyuck - hard. Hyuck yelped as Mark turned on his light, and he could see a welt form on Hyuck's arm. "What the hell?" Donghyuck asked, and Mark looked at him, almost awake.

"You're real then?"

"Do I look like a dream?"

"You look like my boyfriend," Mark responded, finally awake, and Donghyuck's face went from a scowl to a small smile - that he was obviously trying to hide. "I missed actually seeing you."

"We do video call, but with you on this campus -" Donghyuck gestured like the walls of the dorm room explained exactly what Suwon was, and Mark chuckled. "I can't just pop in."

"I know." Mark smiled, pulling Hyuck down on top of him as he laid back down. "You're so warm."

"I was outside," Donghyuck laughed. "I brought a cake and everything, it's in your fridge. Do you have this room to yourself?"

"Yeah, Daniel and Han share the other room and Lucas is abroad right now - he got started early." Mark's breath hitched as Hyuck pressed a kiss to his neck, smiling as innocently as always.

"Happy birthday," Donghyuck smiled, pressing another kiss, this one longer, against Mark's neck.

"I swear if you make bruises -"

"What, like this?" Donghyuck asked teasingly against Mark skin as he began to suck softly. Mark immediately began to giggle at the ticklish feeling, squirming underneath Hyuck.

"Exactly like that," Mark giggled as Hyuck pulled away, moving so his lips hovered over Mark's.

"You're so ticklish."

"I thought you knew that," Mark managed through his giggles.

"I do," Donghyuck said, smiling. "I just love it about you."

"You love everything about me, you've told me a million times," Mark laughed as Donghyuck began to tickle him for real, making Mark burst into laughter again, shrieking as Donghyuck kept tickling him.

"Stop!" Mark laughed, squirming as Hyuck kept tickling him. "Oh my god Hyuck, are you going to tickle me for nineteen minutes or something?"

"For each year? That's a great idea."
