7. Lazy Morning

Ink blinked, heavily disappointed with the realization that he had woken up.

He didn't want to wake up, he just wanted to stay in bed.

But he was already awake, so big oof there.

But he still didn't want to get out of bed.

Then again, who was stopping him from fulfilling the wish to be lazy?

Well, Error might be a threat to his laziness but Error seemed to still be asleep- he could tell as the other seemed to have entwined his arms around him, keeping him hostage.

Error loved spooning him- they both seemed to sleep better when cuddling.

But that wasn't exactly good reasoning for guessing, so why not test it aloud.

"Error?" He kept his voice quiet, in hopes that if Error was asleep he wouldn't be woken up. "Are you awake?"

A grunt from the other threw away his suspicions of Error being asleep.

Maybe Errors in the same lazy mood as him.

"Heh, good morning."

"Shu-t up, im sti-ll tryn-a sleep..."

Oh good, he is... possibly? Error was a hard book to read.

Ink smiled, not minding as Error pulled him closer- still holding him hostage in a hug- and rested his chin directly over Inks skull, he could feel their bones touching.

It hadn't even occurred to Ink that their legs were entwined as well.

It also hadn't occurred that they weren't even under the covers, why did they fall asleep like this???

Meh, no matter, important thing is that Error is being adorable again.

"You really are a snuggle bug~"

"Shu-t it Ink."

"But you are."

"Shu-t it or i-m movi-ng and letti-ng you freeze."

"Pff, fine."

Ink wiggled, trying to scoot himself as close to Error as possible.

"Qui-t squi-rmin'."

"Nu."

Error hugged him tighter, probably trying to (effectively) stop him from moving- Ink only stopped because he was now as close to Error as fathomable.

Ink sighed, content with the warmth he was sharing with Error, he could feel their bones rubbing together though covered by loose clothes.

Ink stilled, even silencing his breathing, he swore he could hear something...

His earlier smile only grew, Error was purring- even if softly, it meant a lot; his soul was reacting to Inks presence, it's magic humming, thus creating the sound.

He could just faintly hear said precious soul beating as well.

It was a shame he couldn't purr with him, being soulless and all.

Ink hummed instead, trying to match the tune of the purr as closely as possible- it was only  vaguely similar.

Ink sighed again, this time more out of sadness, though brightened up after.

No need to be sad about it, Error still loved him, soulless or not.

Plus, he didn't want to ruin the moment.

One would be surprised how loving a morning can feel when all you do is wake up and do nothing else except snuggle.

But, they did eventually have to wake up- just not right now (or maybe ever).

Ink shook himself, trying not to fall back asleep, the warmth Error gave off was so inviting to his cold, crisp bones.

He shifted again, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the former position- he was now looking like a cat might when laying on their sides, though he had tried not to move his legs too much, them being the only comfortable part of his old position.

Now completely comfortable, warm and soothed by Errors quiet purring- who would have imaged Error purring? Definitely not Ink, at least, not before they started dating, he could imagine it easily now. It still came as a very special thing anytime it happened, anytime he could hear it really.

And so, Ink did the only thing he could do in that perfect moment

He fell asleep, again, despite trying not too.

I mean not much else to do with them other than little one shot shorts so I guess uh
this is now officially meant to be short chapters, unless their not because I actually get mass inspiration by one particular promt like I did on day 5-
also have Ink perspective because i make error perspective way too much lol
