The AU, grayscale and murky about him, was a sad sight.

Error did nothing but stare at the ground, hoodie on and over his skull as the rain thundered down around him.

The fog acted as a smoke screen, one couldn't even see a few inches ahead of themselves, it messed with his anxiety.

He hated not being able to know what was nearby.

He hated being blind.

Although the painful knowledge that he would not be able to know if something snuck up on him was building up mind-numbing fear in his soul, he simply stared.

It seemed the Multiverse just knew he was having a shitty day.

He had gone here in this particular AU to be alone, and after a couple minutes of just silently glaring at the grassy field he had ended up in, it started pouring.

It started pouring just as he had wanted to cry.

He found it a bit wonderous, really, what a unusual coincidence it was; raining, for him a sign of sadness upon the land, the moment he wanted to cry.

It kind of amazed him, but he didn't really care.

He was cold, bones probably freezing to the touch, enough to be actually concerned about his health.

But, nobody bothered with his health- except maybe Ink, but he wasn't here right now.

Ink, in fact, was probably off watching his dirty AU's in his stupid DoodleSphere.

And so, Error moped there, miserable as he was, sitting among the wavering stems that tipped under the weight of each raindrop.

He flinched, hearing a twig snap- it was almost funny, earlier in his lifetime he might have thought it only happened in movies and wasn't really that loud and obnoxious, but truly, it was a fair warning.

Something or someone was coming, warily, he eyed the direction it came from, but made no movement to stand.

He questioned wiping his tears, but figured they looked enough like raindrops to make a lie about such and didn't bother.

Who was nearby?

Surely it couldn't be one from the depressing AU he had decided to dwell in, he was far from any civilization- it being the surface and all he had the entire world to go and hide in.

That brought him to the conclusion that it was either Ink or some other Outcode.

Probably Ink, given as the other seemed to be meeting him every day at this point- Error didn't even want to know how he seemed to know exactly where he was.

Honestly, he probably just sensed his destructive aura and followed it whenever he wanted to have a conversation.

Having a hefty magic signature was sometimes a pain in the ass, but, hey, a price to pay for being one of the many powerful Outcodes in the Multiverse- Outcodes being naturally powerful was a given, no other way to manage living outside their own AU.

Error was quite open minded, he knew there were more Outcodes than he and Ink- Seraphim was one great example.

"In-k?"

Well, if it wasn't Ink and he just let his location beknown to whoever it was out there, he's fucked.

But he was fairly positive it was Ink, the other had a affinity for wanting to constantly bother him- much like Fresh except, luckily, less annoying.

"Error!? Heh- yeah it's me, where are you?"

Yup, thats Ink for sure- he silently applauded himself for being smart.

At least he's not completely fucked.

"Ov-er h-ere."

Error didn't even know why he was bothering with saying anything, he would be genuinely surprised if Ink could find him in this weather just from saying 'over here.'.

He was genuinely surprised moments later.

Ink had a blanket with him, dirtied and soaked from the rain and whatever mud he had to have trudged through to make it to him, but a blanket nontheless.

Error wanted that blanket, wanted the small amount of warmth it might offer, but said nothing.

His tired gaze was one again locked on the wet, soggy ground beneath him.

Out of the corner of his vision he could see Ink wrap himself up with the blanket, watching him with concern.

Ink was always concerned for him.

Reasonable, he supposed, he could admit he had a rather concerning existence.

"What are you doing out here?"

Error shrugged, hoping it was noticeable with the current downpour.

"...Dream told me he could feel you being negative, so I came to come cheer you up."

Error huffed, silently cursing Dream- one of Inks partners in 'saving the Multiverse'.

"Don-t both-er, he-s lying, ju-st leave me al-one."

Ink chuckled, more dry than out of actual amusement.

"For one, Dream can literally sense your exact emotions- plus what point would there be for him to lie about it?"

Precisely why he hated Dream; he couldn't pretend to be fine around him or else Dream would call him out on it, it pissed him off- maybe he didn't want to talk about it every fucking moment he was nearby.

"For two, the fact that you've told me to leave you alone instead of fuck off concerns me."

"It me-ans the sam-e thing."

"From you it doesn't."

Error didn't deny or confirm that.

Ink scooted closer, he could notice easily given he basically had a small circle of actual sight before it faded into the thick fog.

Error flinched slightly, feeling Ink literally press himself right up against him.

Finally taking his gaze from the ground, he glared at the other.

"Wh-at are you doi-ng."

"Sharing."

Ink wrapped the blanket around him, Error hesitantly took his corner in his hands, not wanting it to fall.

Glancing back to Ink, he stared.

Ink grinned at him.

"It would be warmer if you let me sit in your lap." Ink hinted, the sing-song tone he spoke in irritated Error slightly.

"Hm-m, lemm-e think... no-o."

Ink sighed dramatically, faking sadness.

"Fine..."

Error rolled his eyes, a little amused by the act.

Error flinched when Ink reached up to his skull, recoiling a little.

Ink gave him a little reassuring smile when he turned a glare onto the other- not that he hadn't been glaring at him before.

Instinctually, he closed his sockets.

He frowned a little when he felt Ink simply rub away his tears.

He blinked as he felt the hand draw away, portraying a satisfied Ink still giving him that sweet, reassuring smile.

"Rea-lly?"

His glare was a bit softened, but he didn't reinforce it despite noticing such.

"Of course dumbass, don't you know the law yet? No sad beans allowed."

Error rolled his eyes again, watching Ink giggle menacingly, though a faint azure blush had sprouted on his cheekbones.
