"So you're really going to Brazil?" You softly ask as you rub circles on his right hand.

Hinata leans in and touches the side of his head with yours. "Yeah. I've decided."

You give a small nod, your eyes on his hand. But Hinata's eyes were on your face, watching your contained expression.

"It's not because I don't like you." He assures. "I like you so much, (Y/N). But-"

"You're aiming for your future." You finish his sentence. "I know, I don't blame you. The last thing I would want was for you to give up on your dream because of me. I actually envy you."

"You do?" He asks, surprised.

"Yes." You say, looking at the river in front of you two. "I don't have a dream. I don't have anything I want to pour my soul into. But you do." You gaze at him, your eyes soft, reflecting the light of the setting sun. "You are willing to go to an foreign country where you don't know anything in order to be closer to your dream. That's... marvelous." You gaze at the river again. "I don't have that kind of courage. I would never be able to do what you are doing."

Hinata stays silent, considering your words. Then, a bright smile appears on his face as he wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you closer.

"Well, you may not have a dream yet, (Y/N)," He starts, excited. "But I'm sure that when you do find one, you'll give everything you have for it!"

"Eh? Why are you so sure?" You ask, amazed.

"Because you're the smartest person I know!" His eyes were twinkling, his voice so sincere that you felt drawn to it. "And I know you're dream will be a wonderful one. You are a lot more braver than you give yourself credit for, (Y/N). Just give it time." He says with a grin. "Everyone finds theirs eventually."

Your eyes widen, you being touched by his words. Then, out of nowhere, you feel a tremendous want to cry. You couldn't help the tears from spilling.

"E-Eh?" Hinata stutters, perplexed. He reaches a hand to your eyes, wiping them. "Why are you crying? Was it something I said? Are you hurt?" What's hap-"

"What am I going to do without you?" You manage to say between sobs as you cling onto is uniform. "Who's going to give me the strength I need when I start doubting myself?"

Hinata's eyes face changes to a sadder one, and he wraps his arm around you, a hand resting on your hair. His heart squeezed with pain.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Shoyo!" You cry even more, finally letting out all the feelings you had bottled up when he started with this idea of going to Brazil, one year before. "I'm going to miss you..."

"Me too, (Y/N)." He whispers in your ear. "I don't know how I'll survive without your optimism and kindness. You're always there for me when I need to vent out and just thinking that you're not gonna be... It scares me."

You hug him as hard as you could, inhaling his scent, wanting to remember everything from him.

"Optimism?" You manage to say, after calming down, tears finally stopped. "You were the sun out of the two us."

He smiles, placing a hand on your cheek. "And you were the light."

You make a pained smile, your heart squeezing at the thought of not being with him. But you understood his decision, you really did. That didn't mean you liked it, though.

He leans in, closing his eyes, and you melt into the kiss. One of your hands tugs at his hair, the other on his chest, feeling his quick heartbeat. You try as hard as you can to remember the sensation, the feeling he always awakened in you.
