14: Fame

10th October 1982:

Today was it. I was going to be touring. I was so excited but also nervous. Would it go well? Would people like me?

It was 10:00am on the 10th October and I was packing all my stuff into the tour bus. Tonight we had a show but it was at 8:00pm and wasn't far.

"Hey Tommy!" I say bringing him into a hug.

"Hey Ally!" He says.

"Where's Sam? Is she not coming?"
"Actually." He begins pinching the bridge of his nose. "I broke up with her because I have feelings for someone else."

"Oh, I'm sorry about that but hey at least you have someone else in mind!" I say.

I pat him on the shoulder and walk over to Doc.

"Hey Ally! You ready for the first show tonight?" He says giving me a thumbs up.

"Yeah, before we set of on the bus, I need to go somewhere real quick. Is that ok?"

"Yeah sure, I will tell Nikki!" He says.
I hop in the car and drive to visit him.

I was here. I had came to visit Marcus in rehab before the tour. I got out the car and went to the reception.

"Hello, I am here to visit Marcus Mars." I say with a smile.

"Alright He is just down that hall, the first door on the left." The lady says.

I nod and walk down the hall. I knock on the door and he answers.

"Marcus!" I say jumping into his arms.

"Ally! It's so good to see you, come on in." He says.

The room was small. Not to luxurious but not a shit hole. He made me a coffee and we sat at a table.

"Marcus I-"

"Ally can I start?" I nod and let him speak. "I am so sorry. I missed your wedding, I relapsed, I let down dad and most of all I don't get to see you perform tonight."

"Marcus, it's ok. I'm so proud you are in rehab. It's ok you missed my wedding, there are photos, you can see and videos. Also about the tour, I should be thanking you. Marcus you have helped since a young age to become a star. I love you."

"I love you to AL." He says holding my hand.

Marcus and I talked for a while and I was just leaving.

"Good luck tonight AL." He says holding me.

"Thank you MARK." I say.

We had nicknames for one another. He called me AL and I called him MARK.

"Wait before you go.." he says reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a silver necklace with the name Joanne on it. "I had it for years and used to wear it at shows, now it's time for you to wear it." He says handing me it.

Tears drops formed in my eyes.

"Your gonna be famous Ally."

I got back to the bus. The guys were all there and it was just about to leave. I stepped inside.

"Hey guys!" I say.

"Hello!" They all said in unison.

They were playing some game. Board game.

"HAHA I WIN!" Tommy shouted pointing a finger in Vince's face.

"That's only because you cheated, bitch." He says with a growl.

Looks like I will have to get used to the boys fighting again. My dad was asleep in his bunk, as usual.

I sat down and read through a magazine when it came to one article.

" Upcoming Star Ally Mars, is doing a tour of the USA with upcoming rock band Mötley Crüe. People say that she is the next big thing and could potentially take over rock n roll!"

My eyes widened.

"Nikki look." I say pointing to the page.

He walks over beside me and reads it.

"OMG that's amazing baby!" He says holding me close.

We were on the bus for about 4 hours when we reached the stadium. We all hopped out the bus and looked at it in amazement.

"We have done it.." says Nikki standing next to me.

"We really have."

We all walked in and went to our dressing rooms. Luckily me and Nikki shared a dressing room. It was one hour until the show and me and Nikki were getting ready. Nikki was doing his makeup and I was doing my hair.

"Ugh..can you help me? It's been a while since I have done this." He says handing me the eyeliner.

I sit on his lap and so his eyeliner. I try my hardest to make it perfect as it was a big show they were doing today.

"Done."

He looks and the mirror and smirks at me.

"Perfect as always." He says kissing my lips.

I was ready and so was Nikki when we heard a knock at the door.

"Hey guys you have 5 minutes!" Says Tom.

"COMING!" I shout. "You ready?" I say looking at Nikki.

I put on the silver necklace Marcus gave me. I kissed it and held it tight.

"Nervous but ready." He says taking a deep breathe.

"Let's go lover boy." I say taking his hand.
We walk to the side stage and I hold his hand.

"Ok let's go guys, your up." Doc says pointing to the guys.

They get their instruments and head on stage.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ALL THE WAY FROM LOS ANGELES, MÖTLEY CRÜE!"
I watched them walk on stage and their scared faces. Shout at the devil stared to play.

I felt tears form in my eyes. I was so proud of them all.

"You know, they are so lucky to have someone like you. You have helped them so much over the past 2 years and they would be here if it wasn't for you." Doc says beside me.

The boys played a couple of more songs when they came off stage.

"YOU GUYS WERE AMAZING!" I Scream and I hug Nikki.

He was sweating more than usual.

"IT WAS! ARE YOU READY TO GO UP THERE?" He asks me shouting over the crowd.

I nod as I take a deep breathe.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN NEXT UP WE HAVE ALLY MARS!"

I walk on stage and let the guitar play. I take a deep breathe and sing my heart out.

The crowd sang with me and clapped along to the beat.
I had done it.
I was becoming a rockstar.
